ccm19851008b0 COMMON COUNCIL CITY OF MUSKEGO CORRECTED MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING HELD OCTOBER 8, 1985 Called to order by Mayor Salentine at 7:15 P.M. Also present were Aldermen DeAngelis, Taube, Dumke, Tomczyk, Hilt and Penovich, Clerk Stewart and City Atty. Molter. The purpose of the meeting was to interview and select a First Richard Nilsson. District Alderman to fill that position due to the resignation of Mayor Salentine introduced the two candidates who had applied - Harvey "Bud" Boettcher and Patrick Patterson. Lots were drawn by the candidates to determine the order for the interviews: No. 1 - Mr. Patterson; No. 2 - Mr. Boettcher. Each candidate gave a brief resume of his background and responded to questions from the mayor and aldermen. with the following results: Following the interview, the voting took place by paper ballots First Ballot - Patterson - 3 votes Boettcher - 3 votes Second Ballot - Patterson - 3 votes Boettcher - 3 votes Third Ballot - Patterson - 3 votes Boettcher - 3 votes A short recess was called. When the meeting reconvened, the aldermen interviewed each candidate further. Fourth Ballot - Patterson - 4 votes Boettcher - 2 votes The Oath of Office was administered to Alderman-elect Patterson by Clerk Stewart. ADJOURNMENT: Ald. Tomczyk moved to adjourn at 7:58 P.M.
