ccm19841127CITY OF MUSKEG0 COMMON COUNCIL MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 27, 1984 Called to order in open session by Chairman Salentine at 8:40 P.M. Also present were Aldermen DeAngelis, Gaetzke, Dumke, Nilsson, Hilt and Penovich, Atty. Molter and Clerk Stewart. Ald Tomczyk was absent. The Mayor opened the meeting by announcing that this was an open meeting of the Common Council. Notice of this meeting was given to the public at least 24 hours in advance of the meeting by forwarding the complete agenda to the official City newspaper, the Muskego Sun, and to all news media who have requested the same as well as posting. Copies of the complete agenda were available for inspection at the City Clerk's office. Anyone desiring information as to forthcoming meetings should contact the Ctiy Clerk's office. Penovich moved, Dumke seconded, to approve minutes of meeting held 11/12/84. Carried. INTRODUCTION AND OATH OF OFFICE - Lt. Johnson introduced Police Officer Garv J. Mrotek to the Council. The Oath of Office was 0 administereh by Clerk Stewart. PERSONAL APPEARANCE - Supv. George Guhr introduced Karen Fiedler who yresented a slide program on reclycing, and requested the City s cooperation in establishing a program. COMMITTEE REPORTS Penovich moved for approval of minutes of Finance Committee meetings held 11/21/84 and 11/27/84. Dumke seconded, carried. Dumke moved for approval of minutes of Public Safety Committee meeting held 11/19/84. Nilsson seconded, carried. Nilsson moved for approval of minutes of Rules, Laws and Ordinance Committee meeting held 11/26/84. Dumke seconded, carried. Plan Commission minutes of meeting held 11/20/84 were received and placed on file. The City Clerk announced that 5 sealed bids had been received for the note issue, which had been advertised for bids pursuant to the action of the Council. Penovich moved to amend the third paragraph to change dollar amounts to: Wallner, $392,000; Loomis Enterprises, $80,000; DeBack, $118,000; for a total of $590,000. Dumke seconded, carried unanimously. Reso.//253-84 (As Amended) adopted unanimously. Reso.#254-84 - Approval of Renewal of Contract Between City of Muskego and Mooney & Associates, Ltd. (Industrial Park). Penovich moved for adoption. Nilsson seconded, carried unan. Reso.#255-84 - Acceptance of Quotes-Squad Cars (approx.$36,878- four '85 cars w/trades-Emil Ewald Chevrolet). Nilsson moved for adoption. Hilt seconded, carried unanimously. Ord.#510 - An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 18, Section 6.2 and Reading. Section 10.3 of the Municipal Code (Certified Survey Maps). 1st Ord.#511 - An Ordinance to Amend Chapter 7, Section 7.05 and Section 7.05(1) of the Municipal Code (Parking Restrictions/Fire Lanes). 1st Reading. 11 0 LICENSE APPROVAL - Penovich moved for approval of operator's licenses for Catherine Schmidt. Michael Fleury and Susan Rydzik. Dumke seconded, carried. Penovich moved for approval of Class B Fermented Malt Beverage Racine Avenue (formerly Edwin Frami, licensee), subject to and Intoxicating Liquor License for Theresa Baginski, W191 S17690 receipt of the license issued to Frami, or statement from him relinquishing said license, as requested by the City Attorney. Nilsson seconded, carried unanimously. VOUCHER APPROVAL - Penovich moved for approval of payment of General Vouchers in the amount of $554,591.25. Nilsson seconded, carried unanimously. Gaetzke moved for approval of payment of Sewer Utility vouchers unanimously. in the amount of $10,654.13.
