MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 26, 1983
Called to order by Chairman Salentine at 7:55 P.M. Also present
were Aldermen Penovich, Colburn, DeAngelis, Dumke, Gaetzke and
Nilsson, City Clerk Stewart and City Attorney Molter. Alderman
Tomczyk was absent.

Penovich moved, Nilsson seconded, to approve minutes of meeting
held 7/12/83. Carried.
I COMMITTEE REPORTS
Penovich presented minutes of 7120183 and 7/26/83 Finance Commit-
tee meetings and moved same be accepted. Dumke seconded. Carried.
Dumke presented minutes of 7/14/83 Public Works Committee meeting
and moved same be accepted. Penovich seconded. Carried.
Colburn presented minutes of 7/18/83 Public Safety Committee
meeting and moved same be accepted. Gaetzke seconded. Carried
unanimously.
Nilsson presented minutes of 7/21/83 Public Welfare Committee
meeting. DeAngelis seconded. Carried.
DeAngelis presented minutes of 7/21/83 Public Sewer Committee
meeting. Gaetzke seconded. Carried.
The minutes of the Plan Commission meeting held 7/19/83 were
received and placed on file.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Res. #69-83 - Approval of Contract Between HAWS and the City for
1983. On the floor. Colburn moved to change No. 3 on Page 2 of
the HAWS agreement to change "seven days" to "six days" and
adopt #69-83 with amended agreement carried with DeAngelis casting
"$28.00" to $24.00". Seconded by Gaetzke, carried. Motion to
the only dissenting vote.
Res.#193-83 - Authorizing the Acceptance of Bid (Meadowdale Storm
Drainage Project). On the floor. Colburn moved to amend to add:
"Be it further resolved that the bid shall not be awarded until
all easements are in place and reviewed by the Mayor." Penovich
seconded, carried. Penovich moved to amend the 3rd and 5th
paragraphs to add "with funds to be taken from TID #3". Gaetzke
seconded, carried. Res. #193-83 As Amended adopted unanimously.

NEW BUSINESS
The following resolutions were acted on, with the sequence changed
for the convenience of those present:
#212-83 - Resolution Regarding Promissory Note Issue. Nilsson
moved for adoption. Penovich seconded. Marilyn Gaulke, repre-
senting Ehlers Associates, presented the Notice of Sale
($5,390,000) and explained the proposed issue. Carried unanimously
#209-83 - Amended Relocation Order of the City of Muskego,
Waukesha County, Wisconsin (Bass Bay Sewers). Nilsson moved for
adoption. DeAngelis seconded. At the request of Ald. DeAngelis,
with no objections from the aldermen, Mr. Frank Switala, Jr.
proposed to be located on the lot line adjacent to the Sobek prop-

The Mayor declared a recess at 9:25 P.M. and the meeting reconvened
at 9:45 P.M.
The Council felt that placing the lift station further north,
with four ft. onto the Sobek property and ten ft. onto the Switala
property would be acceptable. Mr. Switala agreed to dedicate the
land necessary at no cost to the City. Nilsson moved to defer to

City Engineers to draft another amended relocation order for

#200-83 - Appointment of School District Employee to Parks and
Penovich seconded. Letter from Mr. Matheson read. Carried
unanimously.
#201-83 -Authorizing the Purchase of Parcel of Land for Sewer
Gaetzke seconded. Carried unanimously.
Interceptor (Gladys Mike-$110.00). Penovich moved for adoption.
#204-83 - Authorizing the Purchase of Parcel of Land for Glenbrook
Drainage Project (Walter Wollman-$3,240) Penovich moved for
adoption. Gaetzke seconded. Carried unanimously.
#205-83 - Authorizing the Re-Purchase of Lot 3, Block 1 in the
City's Industrial Park (Jacobsen ($10,255 plus 6% interest).
Penovich moved for adoption. Dumke seconded. Carried unanimously.
#203-83 - Authorizing the Purchase of Parcel of Land for Glenbrook
Drainage Project (Harold Diekfuss-$3,800). Penovich moved for
adoption. Dumke seconded. Carried unanimously.
#206-83 - Authorizing the Filling of Patrolman Position at the
Police Department. Penovich moved for adoption. Nilsson seconded.
Colburn moved to add "Be it further resolved that this position
shall be filled from the existing list of applicants". Penovich
seconded, carried unanimously. Reso. #206-83 As Amended carried
unanimously.
#207-83 - Approval of Increase in Pick-up Fees for Humane Officer.

Help Publishing. Dumke seconded. Motion carried with
Penovich, Colburn, DeAngelis and Gaetzke voting "yes" and Nilsson

Penovich moved for approval of Gathering Permit for Muskego
Women's Softball League for August 6 and 7, 1983 (rain dates of
Aug. 13 and 14, 1983). Colburn seconded. Carried.
VOUCHER APPROVAL - Penovich moved to approve General Vouchers in
the amount of $167,990.83. Dumke seconded. Carried unanimously.
Nilsson moved to approve Sewer Vouchers in the amount of
$29,355.25. Gaetzke seconded. Carried unanimously.
ADJOURNMENT - Colburn moved to adjourn at 10:43 P.M. Gaetzke
seconded, motion carried.
