MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 24, 1983
0 Called to order by Chairman Salentine at 7:55 P.M. Also present were
Aldermen Nilsson, Penovich, Colburn, Gaetzke, Tomczyk, DeAngelis and
Dumke, City Clerk Stewart and City Attorney Molter.

Penovich moved, Nilsson seconded, to approve minutes of meeting held
Committee Reports
Penovich presented minutes of 5/18/83 and 5/24/83 meetings and moved
same be accepted and placed on file. Colburn seconded. Carried.
Nilsson presented minutes of Welfare Committee meeting d5/11/ 63 andmoved
same be accepted. Tomczyk seconded. Carried.
Gaetzke presented minutes of Rules, Laws & Ordinance meeting held 5/19/83
and moved same be accepted. Dumke seconded. Carried.
Dumke presented minutes of Public Works Committee meeting held 5/19/83
and moved same be accepted. Penovich seconded. Carried.
Minutes of Plan Commission meeting held 5/17/83 were received and placed
on file.
Communications from Mayor's Office
The Clerk read Mayor's Proclamation urging citizens to participate in
"Buddy Poppy Sale"
The Clerk read Mayor's Proclamation of "GREEN UP MUSKEGO" Week in
Muskego (5/29/83 - 6/4/83)
At this time the Mayor, Council and fellow employees honored June Elger
Deputy City Clerk.

Resolution #69-83 - Approval of Contract Between HAWS and the City
for 1983. Colburn moved, Penovich seconded, to again defer action.
Unanimously carried.
0 Resolution #132-83 - Resolution Providing for the Continued Support
of FLOW (This resolution is on the floor) Penovich moved to amend
#132-83 by adding the following paragraph: BE ,LT FURTHER RESOLVED that
funds for this expenditure be taken from TIF District Two through
Seven. Nilsson seconded. Unanimously carried. On #132-83, As Amended,
unanimously carried.
Ordinance #456 - An Ordinance to Amend Ch. 20 of the Municipal Code
seconded, to table #456. Upon roll call the motion carried with
(Motorboats). Clerk gave second reading. Gaetzke moved, Nilsson
Colburn voting "no".

assessment in the amount of $29,792.01 plus interest, is paid. Unan-

#143-83 - Acceptance of Low Bid for Highway Equipment (Vibratory Roller)
Kelbe Bros. Equipment Co. - $8,550.00. Penovich moved, Dumke seconded,
to adopt. Unanimously carried.
#144-83 - Authorizing the Purchase of Parcel of Land for Sewer Inter-
Amount involved, $1,000.00). Unanimously carried.

#147-83 - Authorizing the Making of the Attached Jurisdictional Offer
(Ludwig-Strampe-Kurtze). Nilsson moved, Gaetzke seconded, to adopt.
Nilsson moved, Tomczyk seconded, to amend #147-83 by striking the
name "Kurtze" wherever it appeared in the resolution. Motion to amend
carried. Motion to adopt #147-83, As Amended, carried unanimously.

#150-83 - Authorizing the Advertising of Bids for the Woods Road
Interceptor, the Woods Road Lift Station, the Northeast Lift Station
and the Interceptor to the County Line. Nilsson moved, Gaetzke
seconded, to adopt. Unanimously carried.
#151-83 - Directing the Attorney to Take the Necessary Steps to Acquire

(Amount involved is $997.00) Unanimously carried.
Ordinance #457 - The Clerk gave the first reading of same, entitled,
An Ordinance to Amend Ch. 12 of the Municipal Code (Temporary Operator's
License)
LICENSE APPROVAL - Penovich moved for the approval of Operator's Licenses
and James Schofield. Seconded by Colburn. Motion carried.
for Camille Trapp, Ryan Lever, Dawn James, Roger Kippenhan, Mark Hummer
Penovich moved, Gaetzke seconded, not to deny Operator's License
application for John Christensen. Upon roll call on the motion not
to deny the motion carried with Gaetzke voting "aye". Penovich moved,
Tomczyk seconded, to approve Operator's License for John Christensen.
Motion carried with Gaetzke voting "no".
VOUCHER APPROVAL - Penovichmoved, Dumke seconded, to approve payment
of general vouchers in the amount of $212,483.15 payable 5/24/83.
Unanimously carried.
Nilsson moved, Tomczyk seconded, to approve payment of sewer utility
vouchers in the amount of $12,587.37, payable 5/24/83. Unanimously
carried.
CITY OFFICIAL'S REPORTS - The Clerk read the April, 1983 Building Report
indicating four dwelling units and total construction in the amount of
$335,400.00 for that month. Placed on file.
City Attorney Molter indicated that at this time there are very few
pending legal cases.
COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS - The Clerk acknowledged a
petition from Attorney T. Michael Schober requesting rezoning of the
Dale Dawson property in Section 5 from R2 to RS2. Same referred to
Plan Commission.
ADJOURNMENT - Gaetzke moved to adjourn. Nilsson seconded. Carried.
