ccm19830419COEnhION COUNCIL CITY OF MUSKEGO 0 MINUTES OF ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING HELD APRIL 19, 1983 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Wayne G. Salentine at 7:lO P.M. Also present were Aldermen Dumke, Nilsson, Penovich, Colburn and Klenz. Aldermen Treba and Tonczyk were absent. City Clerk Stewart and City Attorney Molter were also present. Following comments of farewell from Ald. Klenz, Waukesha County Judge Harold Wollenzien administered the Oath of Office to the following city officials: Alderman - District I1 blitchel E. Penovich Alderman - District IV Eugene V. Gaetzke Alderman - District VI Frank DeAngelis Alderman - District VI1 Edwin P. Dumke Following congratulatory remarks from Judge Wollenzien, the newly elected ald.ernen were seated. The incoming aldermen expressed brief indicated their hope to help solve the city's problems and work cooperatively with the Mayor and all aldermen as a group. Mayor Wayne Salentine thanked the outgoing aldermen for their cooperation and briefly reviewed the needs and problems of the city facing the newly elected aldermen. 0 remarks of appreciation to their constituents for their support and ELECTION OF COUNCIL PRESIDENT City Clerk Stewart and Deputy Clerk Elger acted as ballot clerks. On the nominating ballot Ald. Nilsson received one vote and Ald. Penovich received five votes. On the first election ballot Ald. Nilsson received one vote and Ald. Penovich received five votes. Ald. Penovich was elected President of the Common Council. ELECTION OF COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE TO THE PLAN COfvlMISSION e On the nominating ballot Ald. Colburn received three votes, Ald. DeAngelis received one vote, Ald. Dunke received one vote and Ald. Nilsson received one vote. On the first election ballot, Ald. Colburn received three votes, Ald Nilsson received one vote. DeAngelis received one vote, Ald. Dumke received one vote and Ald. On the second election ballot Ald. Colburn received five votes and Ald. Dunke received one vote. Ald. Colburn was elected to serve as Council Representative to the Plan Commission. ELECTION OF COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE TO BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS OF THE LITTLE MUSKEG0 LAKE PROTECTION AND REHABILITATION DISTRICT A Ald. Penovich nominated Charles Colburn, seconded by Ald. Dumke. Ald. Nilsson nominated Eugene Gaetzke, seconded by Ald. DeAngelis. a On the first ballot, Ald. Colburn received four votes and Ald. Gaetzke received two votes. Ald. Colburn was elected to serve as representative to the Board of Commissioners of the Little Muskego Lake District. ADJOURNMENT -Ald. Nilsson moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Penovich.
