CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MARCH 8, 1983
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Salentine at 7:38 P.M. Also
present were Aldermen Dumke, Treba, Klenz, Penovich, Tomczyk, Colburn
and Nilsson, City Clerk Stewart and City Attorney Molter.
Klenz moved, Penovich seconded, to approve minutes of previous meeting
held 2/22/83. Carried.
B
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Penovich presented the reports of the Finance Committee Meetings held
3/2/83 and 3/8/83 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file.
Klenz seconded. , Carried.
Colburn moved, Penovich seconded, to accept the report of the Public
Works Cormittee meeting held 3/3/83. Carried.
Plan Commission minutes of meeting held 3/1/83 were received and
placed on file.
NEW BUSINESS
The following reeolutions were ucted upon:
~55-83 - Relocation Order of the City of Muskego (Re: Glenbrook Drainage)
Penovich moved, Colburn seconded, to adopt. Unanimously carried.
156-83 - Authorizing the Hiring of an Appraiser and Relocation ExDert
to Carrv Out the Relocation Order Known as Resolution #55-83. Colburn
moved, 'Penovich seconded, to adopt. Unanimously carried.
U57-83 - Relocation Order of the City of Muskego (Re: Kelsey Dr. - H-
DeBack. Penovich moved, Treba seconded, to adopt. Unanimously carried.
158-83 - Authorizing the Hiring of an Appraiser and Relocation Expert
to Carry Out the Relocation Order Known as Resolution j57-83. Treba
moved, Klenz seconded, to adopt. Motion carried.
U59-83 - Authorizing Release of Escrow Funds to the Muskego Lake
Reclamation Charitable Trust or Its Designee. Tomczyk moved, Klenz
seconded, to adopt. Discussion took place during which the city
attorney advised that an agreement should be drafted between the city .I) and the trustees prior to the next Council meeting. Colburn moved,
Tomczyk seconded, to insert the names of the trustees, Ronald J. Ford,
Wayne Radtke and Ned Bechthold, as the trustees of the Muskego Lake
Reclamation Trust of Muskego Lake Reclamation, Inc. in the third and
Colburn seconded, to further amend the last paragraph of 159-83 by
last paragraph of the resolution. Motion carried. Klenz moved,
adding the following "The release of such funds, however, shall not
exceed one year from the date the EPA grant funds have been received
by the City of Muskego.". Motion carried.
At 8:32 bdayor Salentine declared a recess and the meeting reconvened
at 8:42 P.M.

#61-83 - Acceptance of Offer to Purchase City-Owned Lot (Parcel #3 -
Fairfield Dr. - Potters) Penovich moved, Tomczyk seconded, to adopt.
Offer is for $20,000.00. Nilsson moved, Klenz seconded, to have the
third paragraph read as follows: THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the
Common Council of the City of Musekgo does hereby accept the concept
$20,000.00 from Brian C. and Nancy A. Potters, subject to the review
of the Offer to Purchase Lot #3, Fairfield Dr., in the amount of
of the City Attorney and does hereby direct him to prepare a counter
offer in accordance with the expressed desires of the Council". Motion
carried. The ,moti,on to adopt #61-83, As Amended, carried unanimously.
#62-83 - Acceptance of Offer to Purchase City-Owned Lot (Parcel #1 -
Fairfield Dr. - Rodey). Dumke moved, Nilsson seconded, to adopt.
Klenz moved, Nilsson seconded, to amend #62-83 as follows: "THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED that the Common Council of the City of Muskego does

Plas). Penovich moved, Nilsson seconded moved to use the word "approval"
and to add the words "and approve attempting to negotiate a settlement
of said case" to the third paragraph and to add the words "along with
any other necessary documents", to the last paragraph. Unanimously
carried. On #65-83, As Amended, the motion to adopt carried unanimously.
#66-83 - Terminating Conditional Use Grant for "The Cottage" Tavern.
Colburn moved, Dumke seconded, to adopt. Unanimously carried.
1767-83 - Acceptance of Low Bid - S. Denoon Road Improvement Project
(TID #1) Penovich moved, Dumke seconded, to adopt. Low bid received
from Lang Engineering Co. in the amount of $106,443.50. Unanimously
carried.
VOUCHER APPROVAL - Klenz moved, Penovich seconded, to approve payment
of general vouchers in the amount of $253,717.75, payable 3/8/83.
Unanimously carried.
Klenz moved, Tomczyk seconded, to approve payment of sewer utility
vouchers in the amount of $8,529.03, payable 3/8/83. Unanimously carried.
LICENSE APPROVAL - Penovich moved, Colburn seconded, to approve Operator's
License for Mary Stoltz, Bambi Huber and Linda Lynch, subject to favor-
able police reports.
Penovich moved, Colburn seconded, for approval of Operator's License
Penovich moved, Klenz seconded, to approve a "Gathering" Permit for
Ladies Auxiliary of the Muskego Vol. Fire Co. for 4/16/83. Carried.
CITY OFFICIAL'S REPORTS - Clerk read Building Report for February, 1983,
indicating one new dwelling and total construction $205,500 for that

for legal status of Lot 3, Elk C, Muskego Beach Park Add'n. from Richard
Mayor Salentine requested aldermen to submit names for persons to serve
on committee to study feasibility of purchasing DandiLion Park.
