CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 11, 1983
Called to order by Mayor Salentine at 8:30 P.M. Also present were
City Clerk Stewart and City Attorney Molter.
Aldermen Colburn, Klenz, Nilsson, Penovich, Treba, Tomczyk and Dumke,
Motion carried.
Klenz moved, Penovich seconded, to approve minutes of 12/28/82 minutes.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Finance - Penovich presented,and moved to accepted reports of meetings
held 1/5/83 and 1/11/83. Treba seconded. Carried.
Public Works - Colburn presented and moved, Penovich seconded, to
accept .report of 1/6/83 meeting. Carried.
Public Safety - Nilsson presented and moved, Tomczyk seconded, to
accept report of meeting held 1/6/83. Carried.
Plan Commission - Minutes of 1/5/83 meeting were received and placed
on file. e UNFINISKED BUSINESS
Ordinance U452 - An Ordinance to Amend Ch. 10.06 of the Municipal
Code of the City of Muskego (Re: Snow Plowing). Second reading.
'Dumke moved, Treba seconded, to adopt. Unanimously carried.
NEW BUSINESS
The following resolutions were acted upon: (Resolutions #3-83 and
U4-83 were taken out of context)
#3-83 - Supporting County-Wide Law Enforcement Information System.
Nilsson moved, Penovich seconded, to adopt. Police Chief Scholz,
who was present at the meeting, briefly explained the county-wide
information system. He indicated there would be no monetary obligation
with the adoption of this resolution and that it would only be an
expression of the city's interest to the County Board to help them
'determine whether or not the system would be pursued further. Klenz
moved to defer action on this resolution and to refer it back to
Public Safety Committee for further review. Seconded by Colburn.
Unanimously carried.
#4-83 - Authorizing the Filling of Vacant Cadet Position. Klenz
moved, Treba seconded, to adopt. Upon roll call, Klenz, Dumke,
Nilsson, Penovich and Treba voted "aye". Colburn and Tomczyk voted
"no". The motion carried.
#249-82 - Approval of Agreement Between the City of Muskego and Little
Muskego Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District (Re: Weed
harvesters). Duke moved, Penovich seconded, to adopt. Colburn
no objections, Mr. Udvare read a prepared statement and questioned
requested permission to have Mr. :Harry Udvare speak. As there were
the Council's authori'ty to enter into an agreement with the Little-,
Muskego Lake-Protection and Rehabilitation District. Upon roll call

U1-83 - Authorizing the City Attorney to Take the Necessary Legal
Action to Acquire Additional Industrial Park Land. Treba moved,
Nilsson seconded, to adopt. Communication from Harry Brodel, Chm.
of the .Industrial Developnent and Study Committee, dated 1/10/83,
directed to the Mayor, was read. Treba moved to amend #1-83 by
paragraph. Seconded by Nilsson. Carried. Mr. Brodel responded to
changing the words "Common Council" to "City Attorney" in the first
several questions of the aldermen. Upon a roll call on the motion to
adopt Resolution #1-83, As Amended, the motion carried unanimously.
