ccm19820420COMMON COUNCIL CITY OF MUSKEG0 MINUTES OF ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING HELD APRIL 20, 1982 The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jerome Gottfried at 7:lO P.M. Also present were Aldermen Dumke, Radtke, Salentine, Klenz, Knudsen and Penovich, City Clerk Bowyer and City Attorney Molter. Ald. Steinberg was absent. Following comments of farewell from Aldermen Wayne Radtke and Alder- man Richard Knudsen and Mayor Jerome Gottfried, Waukesha County Judge, Harry Snyder, administered the Oath of Office to the following city officials: e Mayor Municipal Judge Clerk Comptroller City Treasurer City Assessor Alderman - District I Alderman - District I11 Alderman - District V Wayne G. Salentine Richard Wittbrot Charlotte L. Stewart Jean Sanders Paul DeAngelis Richard S. Nilsson Charles C. Colburn Ralph R. Tomczyk Following congratulatory remarks from Judge Snyder, the newly elected Mayor and Aldermen were seated. Brief remarks of appreciation and gratitude to their supporters were expressed by the incoming Mayor and Aldermen. ELECTION OF COUNCIL PRESIDENT City Clerk Stewart and Deputy Clerk Elger acted as ballot clerks. On the nominating ballot Alderman Dumke received 3 votes and Alderman Klenz received 3 votes. On the 1st through the 4th election ballot Ald. Dumke received 3 votes and Ald. Klenz received 3 votes. At 8:OO P.M. Ald. Dumke requested a recess and the meeting reconvened at 8:06 P.M. On the 5th election ballot Ald. Dumke received 3 votes and Ald. Klenz received 3 votes. On the 6th election ballot Ald. Klenz received 4 votes and Ald. Dumke received 2 votes. Ald. Klenz was elected President of the Council. He accepted the position and thanked the aldermen for their vote of confidence. a ELECTION OF COUNCIL REPRESENTATIVE TO THE PLAN COMMISSION On the nominating ballot Ald. Colburn received 3 votes, and Aldermen Klenz, Dumke and Nilsson each received 1 vote. On the first election ballot Ald. Colburn received 4 votes and Ald. Nilsson received 2 votes. On the second election ballot Ald. Colburn received 6 votes. Ald. Colburn accepted the position as Common Council representative on the Plan Commission ADJOURNMENT Ald. Colburn moved to adjourn.
