ccm19810414COPDlON COUNCIL CITY OF MUSKEG0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD APRIL 14 1981 Also present were Aldermen Steinberg, Weed, Radtke, Van Lanen, Knudsen, The meeting was called to order by Mayor Jerome Gottfried at 7:58 P M, Salentine and Dumke, City Clerk Stewart and City Attorney Don Molter Ald. Dumke moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting held March 24, 1981 and that same be placed on file Seconded by Ald. Weed Motion carried. Ald. Weed presented the report of the Finance Committee meeting held 4/8/81 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Seconded ment between the City and Tudor Oaks. Ald. Knudsen moved the paragraph by Ald. Radtke. Discussion took place regarding the voluntary agree- in the report relating to the Tudor Oaks Agreement be deleted from the report and acted upon separately. Seconded by Ald. Van Lanen. Upon a roll call vote, Ald. Knudsen, Steinberg, Van Lanen voted "aye'. Aldermen Dumke, Radtke, Salentine and Weed voted "no". The notion to accept the report the motion carried unanimously. delete the paragraph did not carry. Upon roll call on the motion to Ald. Radtke presented the report of the Sewer Committee meeting held meeting held 4/13/81 and Ald. Radtlce moved that both reports be 3/23/81 and Ald Salentine presented the report of the Sewer Committee accepted and placed on file, Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Upon a voice vote the motion to accept the reports carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Resolution 1150-80 - Authorizing the Hiring of One Parttime Park Maintenance Employee Ald. Dumke moved to table Resolution 1150-81 Seconded by Ald. Weed. Upon a roll call vote the motion to table carried unanimously. COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR'S OFFICE The Clerk read Mayor Gottfried's veto message of Resolution #48-81, entitled, Authorizing the Joining of the Waukesha County Federated Library System. Ald Van Lanen moved to override Mayor Gottfried's veto. Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Upon a roll call vote on the motion to override the veto, Aldermen Knudsen, Salentine, Steinberg and Van Lanen voted "aye", Aldermen Dumke, Radtke and Weed voted "no". (213 vote of the Council is required) Prior to the Clerk's announcement of the final vote, Ald. Dumke advised he had erred in his voting and he was permitted to change his "no" vote to aye". The motion to override the Mayor's veto carried. 11 NEW BUSINESS Resolution #54-81 - Accepting the Report of the Board of Canvassers of the April 7, 1981 Spring Election. Ald. Radtke moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Salentine Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously Resolution 855-81 - Authorizing the Advertising of Official Newspaper for the City Ald Knudsen moved for adoption Seconded by Ald. Steinberg. -Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously. Resolution 1/56-81 - Approval of Maintenance Agreement Between City of Muskego and IBM for Memory Typewriter (Library). Ald. Radtke moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Van Lanen. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously. It Common Council 41 14/81 Page 2. New business - cont'd. Resolution #57-81 - Declaring Certain Weeds to be Noxious in the Ald Steinberg Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously. City of Muskego Ald. Salentine moved for adoption. Seconded by VOUCHER APPROVAL - Ald. Weed moved for the approval of payment of vouchers in the amount of $295,890.84 payable 4/14/81 Seconded by Ald. Radtke. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously. CITY OFFICIAL'S REPORTS - The Clerk gave the Building Report for the Month of March, 1981, indicating one new dwelling and total construction in the amount of $345,256.00. Same placed on file.
