COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 12, 1980
The meeting was called to order by Nayor Gottfried at 7:46 P.M
present were Aldermen Steinberg, Weed, Radtke, Knudsen, Salenti
and Dumke, City Clerk Stewart and City Attorney Molter. Ald. V
was absent.
Ald. Dumke moved to approve the minutes of the meeting held 7/21
and to have same placed on file. Seconded by Ald. Steinberg. 1
carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS.
Ald. Weed presented the reports of the Finance Cormnittee meeting:
held 8/6/80 and 8/12/80 and moved that same be accepted and placc
on file. Seconded Ey Ald. Radtke. Notion carried.

Ald. Salentine presented the report of the Public Works Committee
file. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. It.was noted that the report wilI
be corrected at the next meeting of the comittee .to-include no.te:
regarding the recent Public Works Committee tour. Motion to acceF

At this time Ald. Knudsen moved for the reconsideration of Resolution
#144-80. entitled, Authorizing the Mayor to Negotiate for the P
of DandiLion Park. He indicated his reason for asking for reco
eration being he felt Fore than one person should served on the
negotiating cormnittee. Motion was seconded by Ald. Salentine.
a roll call vote to reconsider Resolution #144-80, Aldermen Dumke "8)
Radtke, Steinberg and Weed voted "no". Aldermen Knudsen and Salen,
voted "aye". The 'motion to reconsider did not carry. -
NEW BUSINESS
Resolution #147-80 - Acceptance of Low Bids for Bluhm Farm Project
Ald. Weed moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Steinberg. A leng:

vouchers in the amount of $180,979.45. Seconded by Ald. Weed. Motic

Mayor Gottfried explained the reason for the large number of applica;
being a new state law necessitates a licensed operator to be on the
premise wherever packaged beer or liquor is sold. This includes bee:
depots, grocery stores, gasoline stations, etc. The motion to
the above listed persons carried.
Ald. Weed moved for the approval of Gathering Permits for Worldwide ,
Church of God (baseball tournament) for 8/31 and 9/1/80 at Mill Vall,
School, St. Leonard's Home h School for 9/20/80, Icetronauts snow mob^
Club for 9/7/80 (tractor pull) and 10/12/80 (drag race) in the area
Racine Ave, and Woods Rd. Seconded by Ald. Radtke. Motion Carried-

Ald. Weed moved for the approval of the operation of. a popcorn
wagon for She'rwin Bayer. Seconded by Ald. Radtke. Motion carried.
CITY OFFTCIAL'S REPORTS - The Clerk gave the July, 1980 Building
Report indicating three new dwelling units and total construction
in the amount of $325,962.00 for that month, Report placed on
file.
COMMUNICATIONS AND 'MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
At this time, upon the request of Ald, hmke and with the permission
of his fellow aldermen, 'Mr. Barry Canfield presented a petition
of the City of Muskego to adopt the 'form of governance as provided in
containing approximately 173 signatures reques'ting the Common Council
paragraph '33.28 under the' authority. of paragraph 33.23, Subchapter 4 , !
have the Big Muskego Lake District governed by residents of that
of Chapter 33 of the Wisconsin State Statutes, to the City Clerk.(to
Adelman and Representative Rutkowski.
