ccm19800708COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEG0 @ MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 8, 1980 t - present were Aldermen Dumke, Steinberg, Weed, Radtke, Van Lanen, Sal- The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gottfried at 7:58 P.M. Also entine and Knudsen, City Clerk Stewart and City Attorney Molter. Ald. Dumke moved to approve the minutes of the meeting held 6/24/80 and that same be placed on file, Seconded by Ald. Weed. Discussion took place with Attorney Molter reviewing alternate ways to proceed in the development of cable TV in the city, The motion to accept the minutes carried. COMMITTEE REPORTS Ald. Weed presented the report of the Finance Committee meeting held presented the report of the meeting held 7/8/80. Motion seconded by 7/2/80 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. He also meeting of the committee to include discussion on fireworks at the Dumke. Ald. Weed noted that the report will be corrected at the next Muskego Funfest. The motion to accept the report carried meeting held 7/3/80 and moved that same be accepted and placed on 'Ald. Salentine presented the report of the Public Works Committee file. Seconded by Ald. Steinberg. Motion carried. meeting held 6/25/80 and moved that same be accepted and placed on Ald. Steinbert presented the report of the Public Safety Committee file. Seconded by Ald. Knudsen. Motion carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Ordinance #385 - An Ordinance to Amend Ch. 15, Sec, ~15.12(5), Sec 15.12(7) (A). Sec. 15.12(7) (~C) and Sec. 15,12(8) of the Mun. Code . . .. ~~~~ (Re Electrical Licensing). The Clerk gave the second reading of Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously, same. Ald. Dumke moved €or adoption. Seconded by Ald. Radtke. Ordinance 11386 - An Ordinance to Amend Ch, 30, Sec. 30.09 - Table 1 of the Municipal Code (Re: Bldg. Permit Fees), Ald. Dumke moved to defer action on this ordinance until the next meeting of the Council. Seconded by Ald. Radtke. Upon a roll call vote the motion to defer carried unanimously, Ordinance {I387 - The Clerk gave the second reading of same, entitled, An Ord. to Amend Ch. 25, See. 25.04(1)(a) and (b) of the Municipal under the influence.) Ald. Dumke moved for adoption, Seconded by Cdoe (Re: Amendments to Traffic Code relating to operating while Ald. Steinberg. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously. NEW BUSINESS of the aldermen, entitled, Initial Resolution Regarding Industrial Revenue Resolution 8132-80 - The Clerk read same by title only, with the consent Bonds (Marek). Ald. Knudsen moved for adoption Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt carried unanimously Resolution #133-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Approval of Funds to Offset V.F.W. Parade Expenses, Ald. Radtke moved for adoption. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously. Seconded by Ald. Knudsen (funds to be in the amount of $1,200.00) Resolution #134-80 - Approval of Final Plat - American Eagle Manor (Town of Waterford). Ald. Salentine moved for adoption, Seconded by Ald. Steinberg. Upon a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously. Gravel Company. Ald. Salentine.moved for adoption. Seconded by Resolution #136-80 - Approval of Request for Funds for Fireworks Ald Knudsen. (Amount of the request was for $750 00). Aldermen for Muskego FunFest. Ald. Radtke moved for adoption. Seconded by Radtke and Knudsen urged their fellow aldermen to vote in favor of vote on the motion to adopt, Aldermen Weed, Van Lanen, Salentine and this resolution and Ald. Weed spoke in opposition, Upon a roll call Steinberg voted "no". Aldermen Dumke, Knudsen and Radtke voted "aye" The motion to adopt Resolution #136-80 did not carry. Resolution f137-80 - Resolution Waiving Use Fee for Theater for 4th Quarter of 1979 ($66 00). Ald. Dumke moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Weed. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously. Resolution 8138-80 - Authorizing Refund of Sewer Usage Fees for Seconded by Ald. Steinberg (Amounted to be refunded are $104 00 to Thomas Jewelers and Doggie Botique. Ald. Salentine moved for adoption. Thomas Jewelers and $52 00 to Doggie Botique) Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously. Resolution 8139-80 - Anending the City's Retirement Program to Include Employees through Age 60. Ald. Dumke moved for adoption, Seconded by Ald. Weed. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously, Resolution'#l&0-80 - Approval of Holding Tank Agreement (J. Huber) Ald. Weed moved For adoption.. Seconded- by Ald Van Lanen.- Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously. VOUCHER APPROVAL - Ald. Weed moved for the approval of payment of general vouchers in the amount of $193,337 70 Seconded by Ald. Radtke. Motion carried unanimously. LICENSE APPROVAL - Ald. \deed moved for the approval of Operator's Licenses Tor Gerores Berube, MichaelBgker,Michael Kopca, Larry Musolf, Wayne Franzen, Alice DuPrey, Mary Hanzel, Ernest Youssi, Healther Stigler, Robert Schubert and Edward Smith subject to receipt of favorable police reports, Seconded by Ald Dumke. CITY OFFICIAL'S REPORTS - The Clerk presented the Building Report for June, 1980 indicating two dwelling units and total construction for of $286,955 00. Dmke moved to set the public hearing date for the proposed zoning amendments regarding signs and the proposed rezoning in the SW~ Sec. 9 Salentine.
