MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 13, 1980
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gottfried at 7:30 P.M. Also 0 present were Aldermen Dumke, Steinberg, Weed, Radtke, Van Lanen, Sal-
entine, Kundsen and Dumke, City ClerkStewart and City Attorney Molter.
Ald Dumke moved for the approval of the minutes of the meeting held
4/15/80 and 4/22/80. Seconded by Ald. Steinberg Motion carried
- COMMITTEE REPORTS
Ald Weed presented the report of the Finance Committee meetings
held 5/7/80 and 5/13/80 and moved that same be accepted and placed
on file. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
Ald. Salentine presented the report of the Public Works Committee
meeting held 5/8/80 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file
Seconded by Ald Steinberg. Motion carried.
Ald. Steinberg presented the report of the Public Safety Committee
meeting held 5/8/80 and moved that same be accepted and placed on
file. Seconded by Ald Van Lanen Motion carried
Ald Radtke presentedthe report of the Public Sewer Committee meeting
Seconded by Ald Dumke Motion carried
The minutes of the Plan Commission meeting held 5/6/80 were received
and placed on file

COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR'S OFFICE
The Clerk read the Mayor's proclamation designating the month of May
and Poppy Month and the week of May 18th to 26th as American Legion
Poppy Week in the city.
The Clerk read a proclamation from the Veterans of Foreign Wars
promoting the sale of Buddy Poppies in memory of all war veterans
and those who sacrificed their lives.
Mayor Gottfried advised that the members of the newly established
Medical Facilities Plan Committee are Mr. George Guhr, Chairman,
Mrs. Shirley Smukowski, Mr. David Karel, Mrs. Joyce Nay and Mr
Robert Turzinski

Resolution #?5-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Appointment of
Alderman to Parks & Recreation Board (Michael B. Weed). Ald. Radtke
moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Steinberg Upon a roll call
vote the motion carried unanimously.
Resolution #84-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Establishing
Trayfic Regulations ("stop" sign at Apollo and Mercury Drive and
35 mph speed limit within the industrial park). Ald Knudsen moved
for adoption Seconded by Ald. Van Lanen Upon roll call the motion
carried unanimously.

Resolution 1/90-80 - Approval of Preliminary Plat for American Eagle
Manor Subdivision (Town of Waterford). Ald Salentine moved for
adoption. Seconded by Ald. Dumke Unanimously carried
Resolution #91-80 - Directing the Attorney to Draft an Ordinance to
Amend the Zoning District Map of the City (B2 to RS2 - NW corner of
Hwy 24 and Racine Ave.) Ald-. Salentine moved for adoption. Seconded
by Ald. Van Lanen. Ald. Knudsen urged his fellow aldermen to defeat
reasons for recommending the zoning change. Upon a roll call vote
this resolution. Mayor Gottfried explained the Plan Commission's

LICENSE APPROVAL - Ald. Weed move for the approval of Operators
Licenses for Sandra Flasch, Maureen Drew and David Apostoloff, subject

Ald. Weed moved for the approval of a "Gathering" Permit for St
Leonard's St. Vincent DePaul for 5/30/80. Seconded by Ald. Radtke.

CITY OFFICIAL'S REPORTS - The Clerk read the April, 1980 Building
Report for April, 1980 indicating one dwelling unit and total con-
struction of $145,790 00 for that month
At 10 02 Mayor Gottfried declared a recess and the meeting reconvened
at 10 09 P.M.
COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
Ald Knudsen read a letter of inquiry to the Attorney General's Office
of interest in having a law firm serve the city as well as serving
and the League of Wis. Municipalities regarding the possible conflict
the Little Muskego Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District.
Council President Dumke requested his fellow aldermen to relate to
him suggestions regarding possible ways to conserve publishing costs,
use of copy machine, the feasibility of hiring a secretary at committee
meetings and random voting of aldermen at Council meetings.
ADJOURNMENT - Ald. Weed moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Knudsen.
Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 10:40 P,M.
