MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 26, 1980
present were Aldermen Ford, Pietruszynski, Tomczyk, Van Lanen, Salentine
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gottfried at 7:40 P.M. Also

COMMITTEE REPORTS - Ald. Tomczyk presented the reports of the Finance
Committee meetings held 2/12/80 and 2/26/80 and moved that same be
accepted and placed on file. Motion carried.
Ald. Salentine presented the report of the Rules, Laws & Ordinance
Committee meeting held 2/18/80 and moved that same be accepted and
placed on file. Seconded by Ald.~Pietruszynski~.~ Motion carried.
Ald. Tomczyk presented the report of the Public Welfare Committee
meeting held 2/13/80 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file

Ald. Weed presented the report of the Public Safety Committee meeting

The minutes of the'Plan Comission meeting held 2/19/80 were received

COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR'S OFFICE
Mayor Gottfried advised that as a result of the final report of the
Committee to Study the Needs of the Senior Citizens, it is his intent
with the objective being to study what can be done to provide additional

Resolution 1/32-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Accepting Report
of the Board of Canvassers of the February 19, 1980 Spring Primary.
Ald. Tomczyk moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Upon
a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously,
Resolution 833-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Approval of Holding
Tank Agreement (Tom Ludwig). Ald. Weed moved for adoption. Seconded
by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously.
Resolution #34-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Approval of
Additional Compensation for Animal Warden. Ald. Pietruszynski moved
for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Weed. ($4.00 for each stray animal
of Animal Warden). Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt carried
apprehended and 15~ per mile. car allowance when acting in the capacity
unanimously.
Resolution 835-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Transfer of Funds

for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Weed. Upon roll call the motion to
adopt carried unanimously.
Resolution #36-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Granting Extension
of Time on Rezoning Request (D. Cunningham). Ald. Salentine moved
for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Weed. Upon roll call the motion
carried unanimously. (Extension being 60 days).
Resolution 1/37-80 - Ald. Tomczyk moved to suspend the rules that would
interfere with the adoption of Resolution #37-80. Seconded by Ald.
Ford. Upon a roll call vote on the motion to suspend the rules, the
motion carried with Ald. Van Lanen voting "no". The motion to suspend
the rules carried. The Clerk read the resolution, entitled, Declaring
the Support of the Common Council for Lake Rehabilitation. Ald. Ford
moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Following considerable
Environmental Impact Statement prep.ared by the Department of Natural discussion among the Aldermen and Mayor regarding the contents of the
Resources and the forthcoming hearings, upon a roll call vote on the
motion to adopt Resolution 1/37-80, Aldermen Ford, Salentine and
Tomczyk voted "aye". Aldermen Pietruszynski, Van Lanen and Weed
voted "no". There being a tie vote, Mayor Gottfried voted "aye". The motion to adopt Resolution #37-80 carried.

Ordinance a381 - The Clerk gave the first reading of same, entitled,
An Ordinance to Create a Code Regulating Traffic Upon the Streets,
Alleys and Highways of the City of Muskego (Re: Operation of vehicles
while under the influence of alcohol). Ald. Van Lanen moved to
suspend the rules that would interfere with the adoption of Ordinance
11381. Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Upon a roll call vote the motion
to suspend the rules carried unanimously. The Clerk gave the second
reading of same. Ald. Van Lanen moved for adoption. Seconded by
Ald. Salentine. Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt Ordinance
Q381 carried unanimously.
VOUCHER APPROVAL - Ald. Tomczyk moved for the approval of payment of
general vouchers in the amount of $96,753.56 payable 2/26/80. Seconded
by Ald. Pietruszynski. Upon a roll call vote the motion carried
unanimously.
LICENSE APPROVAL - Ald. Tomczyk moved for the approval of Operator's
Licenses for Robin Radtke, Herman Klepp and for Daniel Brown and Jill
Rogers subject to the receipt of a favorable police report. Seconded
by Ald. Ford. Upon roll call vote the motion carried unanimously. e

CITY OFFICIAL'S REPORTS - The Clerk read the January, 1980 Building Report for January, 1980 indicating 0 Building Permits and total
construction in the amount of $159,354.00. Same placed on file.
COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS - The Clerk acknowledged
receipt of a petition submitted by Michael P. Heise, dated 1/28/80
requesting rezoning of a parcel of land in Section 16 from RS1 to
RSM (housing for the elderly). Same referred to Plan Commission.
ADJOURNMENT - Ald. Ford moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk.
Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:lO P.M.
