MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 12, 1980
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gottfried at 8:45 P.M. Also
present were Aldermen Dumke, Ford, Pietruszynski, Tomczyk, Van Lanen, a Salentine and Weed, City Clerk Bowyer and Attorney Don Molter.
Ald. Dumke moved for the approval of the minutes of meeting held 1/22/80
and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Ald.
Tomczyk. Motion carried.
Ald. Tomczyk presented the report of the Finance Committee meeting held
2/12/80 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by
Ald Dumke. Motion carried.
Ald. Weed presented the report of the Public Works Cormnittee meeting
held 2/7/80 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file Seconded
by Ald Tomczyk. Ald. Van Lanen requested the minutes be corrected at
of Freedom Square regarding the dumpsters in that area. The motion to
the next Public Works meeting to include the concerns of the citizens
accept the minutes carried
Ald Salentine presented the report of the Public Sewer Committee meeting
held on 2/11/80 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file.
Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
The minutes of the Plan Commission meeting held February 5, 1980 were
received and placed on file.
NEW BUSINESS
Resolution #16-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Denial of Preliminary
Plat - Rustic Acres - Town of Norway. Ald. Salentine moved for adoption.
by replacing the words "Town of Vernon" with "Town of Norway". Seconded
Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Ald Salentine moved to amend the resolution
by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried. Upon a roll call vote on the motion to
adopt Resolution #16-80, As Amended, the motion carried unanimously.
Resolution 1/17-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Approval of Agreement
Between Waukesha County Dept. of Aging and the City for the Use of Jensen
by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously.
Center for Nutrition Program. Ald. Weed moved for adoption. Seconded
Resolution #18-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Acceptance of Low Bid
for Five New Squad Cars (Russ Darrow - $24.859.00. net cost). Ald.
Tomczyk moved for adoption. Seconded by Aid. Dumke. Upon roll call the
motion carried unanimously.
- Resolution #19-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Setting Public Hearing Date for Rezoning Request (J. Huber - S86 W13988 Priegel Dr. (Reef)
from WF and R-2 XOLR-to WF -and R2 (OD) (overlay for dcplex) . March. 11,
1980 - 7:OO P.M. Ald. Salentine moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald.
Weed. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously.
Resolution #20-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Setting Public Hearing
Date for Rezoning Request (David Cunningham) NW corner of Racine Ave.
and Hwy 24 from B-2 to RS-2 - March 11, 1980, 7:15 P.M. Ald. Salentine
moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Weed. Upon roll call the motion
to adopt carried unanimously.
Resolution 821-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Resolution Regarding
Industrial Revenue Bonds (Precision Screw Thread Corp. - $1,000,000.00)
Ald Dumke moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. ~ Upon roll
call the motion carried unanimously.

the Acquiring of the Vesbach Property (NW Sewer Lagoons). Ald. Weed
moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon a roll call vote
the motion to adopt carried unanimously.
Resolution #23-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Authorizing Cancellatj
of Certain Uncollectible Accounts Payable (Rescue) $4,528.08. Ald.
Tomczyk moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Upon roll call the
motion to adopt carried unanimously.

Resolution 824-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Expressing Concern
Over the Proposed Landfill and Development Project (City of Franklin) Ald. Dumke mbved for adoption. Seconhed by Ala.. Salentine. Upon roll
call the motion to adopt carried unanimously.

Resolution 1/25-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Recognizing the Servic
Tomczyk moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Van Lanen. Ald. Van Lanen
moved to amend the resolution to include the name of Mrs. Nancy Whitehous
Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt Resolution 825-80, As Amended
and sons, Jeff, Jerry and Jim. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carriec
carried unanimously.
Resolution 1/26-80 - Establishing Sewer Usage Charge for Non-Metered
Premises in the Denoon Sewer District. Ald. Salentine moved to suspend
the rules that would interfere with the adoption of Resolution 1/26-80.
Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Upon roll call the motion to suspend the rules
carried unanimously. The Clerk read the resolution. Ald. Dumke moved
for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Upon roll call the motion
to adopt carried unanimously.
Ordinance #380 - The Clerk gave the first reading of same, entitled, An
Ordinance to Amend Section 13.01 (7)(e) of the Municipal Code of the
City of Muskego (Re: Fees for claiming stray dogs) Ald. Van Lanen
moved to suspend the rules that would interfere with the adoption of
Ordinance 11380 at this meeting. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon roll
call the motion to suspend the rules carried unanimously. The Clerk gavf
the seconh reading of Ordinance #380. Ald. Van Lanen moved for adoption
Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt
carried unanimously.
VOUCHER APPROVAL - Ald. Dumke moved to approve payment of vouchers in
the amount of $376,705.01 payable 2/12/80. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk.
Upon roll call the motion to pay the vouchers carried unanimously.
LICENSE APPROVAL - Ald. Tomczyk moved to approve Operator’s Licenses for
Christensen. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
Sandra Turner, Ralph Pelzek, Sharon Buchholz, Karen Glancey and Lois
Ald. Tomczyk moved to approve a “Gathering“ Permit for St. Leonard’s Horn1
and School for March 9, 1980. Also, a permit to operate a popcorn wagon
for Donald Collins. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS - The Clerk acknowledged
receipt of a Writ of Mandamus and Writ of Certiorari, dated February 5,
1980, of Daniel Stemper, Petitioner vs. Plan Couunission and Common
Council of the City of Muskego, Wisconsin. (Re: Three-lot division on
Gold Drive). Same referred to City Attorney’s Office.
Association Fund Raising Committee, presented a check in the amount
At this time, Mr. Robert Bagley, representing the Little Muskego Lake
Of $~~,ooO.OO to Mayor Gottfried who accepted the check in behalf of
the Little Muskego Lake Charitable Trust.
ADJOURNMENT - Ald. Weed moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk.
Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:46 P.M.
