MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 22, 1980
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gottfried at 7:40 P.M. Also
present were Aldermen Dumke, Ford, Pietruszynski, Tomczyk, Van Lanen,
Salentine and Weed, City Clerk Bowyer and Attorney Don Molter.
Ald. Dumke moved for the approval of the minutes of meeting held
1/8/80 and that same be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Ald.
Tomczyk. Motion carried.
Ald. Tomczyk presented the reports of the Finance Committee meetings
held 1/16/80 and 1/22/80 and moved that same be accepted and placed
on file. Seconded by Ald. Dumke.
Ald. Weed presented the report of the Public Works Committee meeting
held 1/17/80 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file.
Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon a roll call vote the motion to
accept the minutes carried unanimously.
Ald. Weed presented the report of the Public Safety Committee meeting
held 1/9/80 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Sec-
onded by Ald. Tomczyk. Ald. Van Lanen advised those present that
Senator Adelman had discussed with him the city's request for a traffic
control signal at the intersection of Lannon Dr. and S.T.H. 24 and
that the State Dept. of Transportation bases the need for such signals
on the number of accidents at the requested location. Also, there had
been very few accidents at that location. Upon a roll call vote the
motion to accept the report carried unanimously.
Ald. Tomczyk presented the report of the Public Welfare Committee
meeting held 1/17/80 and moved that same be accepted and placed on
file. Seconded by Ald. Weed. Upon a roll call .vote the motion to
accept the report carried unanimously.
Ald. Salentine presented the report of the Rules, Laws & Ordtnance
Committee meeting held 1/21/80 and moyed that same be accepted and
placed on file. Seconded by Ald. Van Lanen. Upon a roll call vote the
motion to accept the report carried with Ald. Pietruszynski voting "no".
The minutes of the Plan Commiss.ion meeting held 1/15180 were received
and placed on file.
COMMUNI CAT IONS FROM THE MAXO,R ', S OFF ICE
Mayor Gottfried advised that he is appointing Attorney Dale Arenz
to represent the Little Muskego Lake Protection and Rehabi,litatton
District at the forthcomgng contested hearing regarding the proposed
dredging project.
At this time Ald. Van Lanen requested permission of his fellow alder-
men to have Mr. Dave Taube speak. As there were no objections, Mr.
Taube suggested that all of the Commissfoners of the Little Muskego
Lake Protection and Rehabilitation DTstrict familiarize themselves
with the different studies which^ have been presented by Strand &
Associates and the DNR. He also suggested that all Commissioners.

At 8:35 P.M. Mayor Gottfried declared a recess and the meeting recon-

Resolution #7-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Accepting the Offer
of HAWS for the Use of Their Facilities on A Trial Basis. Ald. Tomczyk a moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Weed. Mayor Gottfried reviewed-

Service Contract for Checkpoint Security System for Library ($700.00 for
a 3-year agreement. Ald. Dumke moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald.
Van Lanen. Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt carried unanimously.
Resolution #13-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Authorizing Negotiations
for Purchase of Portion of Elroy Kurth Property for Tess Corners Drainage
Project. Ald. Tomczyk moved to adoption. Seconded by Ald. Weed. Upon
a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously.

Resolution 1/14-80 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Reaffirming the City's
Position Regarding the Position of Cadet at the Police Department.
Ald. Tomczyk moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Weed. Upon roll
call the mbtion to adopt carried unanimously-.
Resolutim#l5-80 Establishing Salary for Library Pages. Ald. Tomczyk
moved to suspend the rules that would interfere with the adoption of
this resolution. Seconded by Ald. Ford. Upon a roll call vote the
motion to suspend the rules carried unanimously. The Clerk read the
resolution. Ald. Tomczyk moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Weed.
Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt carried unanimously.
VOUCHER APPROVAL - Ald. Dumke moved to approve the payment of vouchers
in the amount of $130,170.69 payable 1/22/80. Seconded by Ald. Weed.
Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously.
LICENSE APPROVAL - Ald. Tomczyk moved for the approval of Operators
Licenses for Renee Musack, Belinda Smalley, Dolores Lasky and Charles
Dieschel. Upon roll call vote the motion carried unanimously.
Icetronaut Snowmobile Club for February 3, 1980 in the area of Woods Rd. Ald. Tomczyk moved for the approval of a "Gathering" Permit for the

COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
The Clerk acknowledged receipt of a petition for rezoning from Mr.
John D. Huber requesting the property at S86 W13988 Priegel Drive
be rezoned from recreational use to two-family residential. Same
referred to Plan Comnission.
ADJOURNMENT - Ald. Weed moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Van Lanen.
Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:35 P.M
