0 MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 13, 1979
The meeting was called to order at 7:35 P.M. by Mayor Gottfried. Also
present were Aldermen Dumke, Pietruszynski, Weed,Salentine, Van Lanen
and Tonczyk : City Clerk Bowyer and Attorney Don Molter. ..
Ald. Dumke moved for the approval of the minutes of the October 23rd
Ald. Tomczyk. Ald. Weed moved to amend the minutes under Resolution
meeting and that same be accepted and placed on file, Seconded by
11203-79 to have them indicate that it was Ald. Dumke who had requested
Craig Lawdanski to speak and not himself. Seconded by Ald. Dumke.
Motion carried.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Ald. Tomczyk presented the reports of the Finance Committee meetings
held 11/7/79 and 11/13/79 and moved that same be accepted and placed
on file. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Motion carried.
Ald. Weed presented the report of the Public.Works Committee meeting
held 11/8/79 and moved that same be accepted and placed on fi1.e.
Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried.
Ald. Tomczyk presented the report of the Public Welfare Co&it:tee
meeting held 10/24/79 and moved that same be accepted and p1ac:ed on
file. Seconded by Ald. Weed. A short discussion with reference to
correspondence regarding Covenant Living Centers, Inc. Ald. Van Lanen
requested letters to be referred to the Public Welfare Committee and
that they be discussed at their next meeting. Motion to accept. the report carried.
COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYCR'S OFFI'CE "_
Mayor Gottfried advised those present the public hearing on th.e 1980
city budgets would be held on Tuesday, November 27, 19.79~, at 7:OO PM
in the city hall.
Mayor Gottfried advised he had received copies of ordinances regarding
the licensing of theaters and the franchising of cable TV. Sa.me
were referred to the Chairman of the Rules, Laws & Ordinance C:omittee.
The Clerk read Mayor Gottfried's proclamation of the "Great American
Smokeout Eay" set for November 15, 1979.
Mayor Gottfried advised the Public Welfare and Public Safety meetings
scheduled for November 15th have been cancelled. 0

Resolution' #206'-79 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Transfer of Funds
Ald. Tomczyk. Upon a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously.

Resolution 11208-79 - The Clerk read same, entitled, AGti-.orizing
Cancellation of Certain Uncollectible Accounts Payable (Rescue and
Snowplowing). Ald. Tomczyk moved for adoption. Seconded by PJd.
Weed. Amount cancelled $1,465.00. Upon a roll call vote the motion
carried unanimously.

Resolution $1210-79 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Authorizing
Area Tans Drive and Racine Avenue, Ald. Tomczyk moved for adopticn.
Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Ald. Tomczyk moved to amend Resolution
wherever it appeared in the resolution. Seconded by Ald. Weed. Upon

Execution of Easement for Sewer Purposes (H. Baas, North Shore Drive)
Ald. Salentine moved for adoption. Seconded by Aid. Tomczyk. Upon
a roll call vote on the'motion to adopt, Aldermen Dumke, Tomczyk,
Salentine and Weed voted "aye". Aldermen Van Lanen and Pietruszynski
voted "no". The motion to adopt carried.
Resolution $1212-79 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Denial of
Grievance (Judy C-ings). Ald Tomczyk moved for adoption. Sec- onded by Ald. Dumke. Ald. Pietruszynski moved to table Resolution
end Weed voted "no". Aldermen Van Lanen and Pietruszynski voted
table Resolution $1212-79, Aldermen fimke, Salentine, Tcmczyk,
to adopt Resolution 8212-79. Aldermen Dumke, Salentine, Tomczyk
"aye". The motion to table did not carry. Upon a roll call vote
and Weed voted "aye". Aldermen Van Lanec and Pietruszynski voted
"no". The motion to adopt Resolution $1212-79 carried,
Ordinance a378 - The Clerk gave the first reading of same, entitled,
An Ordinance to Amend Ch. 26, Sec. 26.02 of the Municipal Code by
Adding Thereto Subsection 26.02(w) (Re: Areas of city-owned property
hibited. ) to be designated by Park & Recreation Director where fishing is pro-
VOUCHER APPROVAL - Ald. Dumke moved to recommend payment of vouchers
in the amount of $310,112.28 payable 11/.13/79. Seconded by Ald.
Tomczyk. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously,
LICENSE APPROVAL - Ald. Dumke moved for the approval of Operator's
License for David Mead, Rosario Lociceroand Lynn Behlendorf. Seconded by Ald Tomczyk. Motion carried.

Mayor Gottfried advised the aldermen he is requesting an Executive

Session following the next Council meeting for the purpose of dis-

11/1/79, directed to the Mayor and Council, expressing appreciation
to Mr. James Ramsey for restoration of a damaged pole and light on
Valley Drive. Same placed on file.
ADJOURNMENT - Ald. Tomczyk moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Weed.
Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 8 35 P.M.
