ccm19790828COMMON COUNCIL CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 28, 1979 The meeting was called to order at 7:40 P.M. by Mayor Gottfried. Also present were Aldermen Tomczyk, Weed, Van Lanen and Salentine. Alder- men Dumke and Ford were absent. City Clerk Bowyer and Acting City Attorney Don Molter were also present. Ald. Tomczyk moved for the approval of the minutesof the meeting held August 14, 1979 and that same be placed on file. Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Motion carried. COMMITTEE REPORTS Ald. Tomczyk presented the report of the Finance Committee meeting held 8/22/79 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Ald. Weed. Motion carried. Ald. Weed present the report of the Public Works Committee meeting held 8/23/79 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. In answer to a question from Ald. Van Lanen, Ald. Tomczyk advised he is still negotiating with the developer as to the restoration of the ditches in Kristin Downs Subdivision and the resolution of one of the William Zickert problems. -e 0 The motion to accept the minutes carried. Ald. Van Lanen presented the report of the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee meeting held 8/15/79 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Motion carried. Ald. Weed presented the report of the Public Safety Committee meeting held 8/15/79 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. Ald. Salentine presented the report of the Public Sewer Committee meeting held 8/20/79 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. The minutes of the Plan Commission meeting held 8/21/79 were received and placed on file. NEW BUSINESS 0 Extractive Permit for Wauer Gravel. Ald. Salentine moved for Resolution $1158-79 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Approval of adoption. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously. Plat of Anna Acres (Town of Norway). Ald. Salentine moved for Resolution #163-79 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Approval of Final adoption. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously. Resolution $1164-79 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Approval of Final moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon a roll call vote Plat oi Waubeesee Lake Estates (Town of Norway). Ald. Salentine the motion carried unanimously. Resolution $1165-79 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Resolution Express- seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt District from 1976 to 1979). carried unanimously. Upon a roll call vote the Certified Survey Map (L. Stephens). Ald. Salentine moved for motion carried unanimously. Resolution #167-79 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Denial of Pre- for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon roll call the motion -Plattic Acres (Town of Norway). Ald. Salentine moved carried unanimously. Resolution $1168-79 - Ald. Weed moved to suspend the rules that would interfere with the adoption of this resolution at this meeting. Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Upon a roll call vote the motion to suspend the rules carried unanimously. The Clerk read Resolution #168-79, entitled, Resolution Opposing the Location of Minimum and Weed moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Salentine. The Clerk Maximum Security Prisons in the Milwaukee Metropolitan Area. Ald. read a communication from Mayor Theodore J. Fadrow of the City of Franklin urging the Common Council to support the resolution opposing the building of a prison in the City of Franklin. Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt Resolution 8168-79 carried unanimously. VOUCHER APPROVAL - Ald. Tomczyk moved for the approval of payment of vouchers in the amount of $387,479.58, payable 8/28/79. Seconded by Ald. Van Lanen. Upon a roll call vote the motion carried unan- imously. LICENSE APPROVAL - Ald. Tomczyk moved for the approval of Operator's Licenses for Eugene Vaughn, William Kokott, Michael Decker, Lynn Ellis, JoAnn Wojczak and Pam Dorenbos. Seconded by Ald. Van Lanen. Motion carried. Ald. Tomczyk moved for the approval of a Class "A" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License for Neome Schaumberg subject to the expiration of the necessary advertising period. Seconded by Ald. Van Lanen. Motion carried. Ald. Tomczyk moved for the approval of a "Gathering" Permit for the Icetronauts Snowmobile Club for 9/16/79 in the area of Woods Rd. and Racine Ave. Seconded by Ald. Salentine. Motion carried. 0 COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS - The Clerk read a Muskego Lake Association Muskego-FUN-fest, dated 8/18/79, directed communication from Mr. Robert J. Bagley, Chairperson of the Little to the Mayor and Council, thanking all city department heads for their cooperation during their recent event. Same placed on file. In answer to a uestion from Ald. Van Lanen, Mayor Gottfried advised the city is sti 9 1 in litigation with the developers of College Park. ADJOURNMENT - Ald. Weed moved to adjourn. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried.
