NOVEMBER 7, 1978
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gottfried at 8.00 P.M. with the
Van Lanen and Wallner.
following aldermen present Dumke, Ford, Pienkos, Schaumberg, Tomczyk,
Mayor Gottfried reviewed proposed revenues and expenditures for the
fiscal year of 1979 with a recommended general property tax in the
amount of $678,853.00, or $4.84 per thousand of assessed valuation of
$140,000,000.00. He indicated that the previous stated valuation was an
estimate as finalized figures have not been received from the State
as of this date. Also, the tax credits for the city will not be made
available until the first of December.
The following action was taken by the Common Council' Ald. Ford
moved, seconded by Ald. Van Lanen, that Account #50200-3613, Conferences
and Conventions, be increased from $300.00 to $500.00 and upon a voice
vote the motion carried.
Police Vehicle Replacement, be increased from $32,000 00 to $33,300.00.
Ald. Ford moved, seconded by Ald. Pienkos, that Account #52000-3910,
Upon a voice vote the motion carried.
Ald. Pienkos moved, seconded by Ald. Tomczyk, to have Account #52000-1510,
Uniforms and Officers Equipment, be increase from $4,000.00 to $4,800.00.
Upon a voice vote the motion carried.
0 Ald. Pienkos moved to reduce Account #53500-3212, Other Supplies and
Expenses, in the amount of $200.00. Upon a roll call vote the motion
carried.
Ald. Pienkos. moved, seconded by Ald. Ford, to reduce Account #52500-3220
in the amount of $100.00. Upon a roll call vote the motion carried.
In accordance with the above action taken the proposed 1979 levy will be
in the amount of $680,753.00.
There being no further business Ald. Tomczyk moved to adjourn. Seconded
by Ald. Schaumberg. Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 11:OO P.M.
