MINUTES OF MEETING HELD AUGUST 22, 1978
The meeting was called to order at 8.16 P M. by Mayor Gottfried. Also
present were Aldermen Dumke, Ford, Pienkos, Van Lanen, Tomczyk,
Schaumberg and Wallner, City Clerk Bowyer and City Attorney Buckley.
Ald. Schaumberg moved to approve the minutes of the previous meeting
held 8/8/78 and that same be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by
Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried.

COMMITTEE REPORTS
Ald. Schaumberg presented the reports of the Finance Committee meetings
held 8/16/78 and 8/22/78 and moved that same be accepted and placed
on file. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Ald. Tomczyk presented the report of the Public Works Committee meeting
held on 8/17/78 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file.
Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried.

Ald. Pienkos presented the report of the Public Safety Committee
meeting held on 8/9/78 and moved that same be accepted and placed
on file. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried.
Ald. Tomczyk presented the report of the Rules, Laws & Ordinance
Committee meeting held 8/9/78 and moved that same be accepted and
placed on file. Seconded by Ald. Wallner, motion carried.
Ald. Ford presented the report of 'the Public Welfare Committee meeting
held 8/16/78 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file.
Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried.
The minutes of the Plan Commission meeting held August 15, 1978 were
received and placed on file.

c - Ordinance #351 - The Clerk gave the second reading of same, entitled,

An Ordinance to Amend the Zoning District Map of the City of Muskego
(OD). Ald. Ford moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald Tomczyk. Upon a
L roll call vote the motion carried unanimously.
Ordinance #352-78 - The Clerk gave the second reading of same, entitled,
An Ordinance to Repeal Section 12.01 (3) of the Municipal Code (Re
Elimination of fingerprinting of license applicants). Ald. Ford moved
for adoption. Seconded by Ald. Pienkos. Upon a roll call vote the
motion to adopt carried unanimously.
Ordinance #354-78 - The Clerk gave the second reading of same, entitled,
An Ordinance to Repeal Section 9.06 of the Municipal Code (Re Drunkiness)
Ald. Pienkos moved for adoption. Seconded by Ald Tomczyk. Upon a
roll call vote the motion to adopt carried unanimously.
COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR'S OFFICE
\I Mayor Gottfried expressed regret at the passing of Police Chief Ervin
W. Kraus and he commended his work as the administrator of the Muskego
Police Department for the past 11 years. He indicated that the Police
and Fire Commission would be meeting in the near future to make a de-
termination on the selection of a new ch'ief.
