ccm19780725CONMON COUNCIL CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JULY 25, 1978 ~ & The meeting was called to order at 7145 P.M. by Mayor Gottfried. Also present were Aldermen Dumke, Schaumberg, Pienkos, Van Lanen, Tomczyk and Wallner, City Attorney Buckley and Deputy Clerk June Elger. AUW, absen Ald. Schaumberg moved to approve the minutes of meeting held 7/11/78, as mailed. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. COMMITTEE REPORTS Ald. Schaumberg presented the reports of the Finance Committee meetings held 7/11/78, 7/19/78 and 7/25/78 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Ald. Dumke, motion carried. Ald. Tomczyk presented the report of the Public Works Committee meeting held 7120178 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Secondec by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Ald. Pienkos presented the report of the Public Safety Committee meeting held 7/12/78 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Secondec by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried. ! ~8 (I) Ald. Van Lanen presented the report of the Public Welfare Committee meeting held 7/19/78 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Ald. Schaumberg, motion carried. Ald. Tomczyk presented the report of the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee meeting held 7/12/78 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Ald. Pienkos, motion carried. Ald. Pienkos presented the report of the Police Building Committee meeting held 7/12/78 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Ald. Wallner, motion carried. The minutes of the Plan Commission meeting held 7/18/78 were accepted and placed on file. NEW BUSINESS Resolution #149-78 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Transfer of Funds (Park & Recreation Dept.) Ald. Schaumberg moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Pienkos. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously. Resolution fil50-78 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Authorizing Park & Recreation Dept. to Purchase a New Truck. (Truck to be a 1978 model, 314 ton, 4x4 pickup truck - $7,020.00). Ald. Schaumberg moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Wallner, Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously.. Resolution #151-78 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Establishing Traffic Regulations ("Stop" sign at Southern Dr. & Hedgewood Dr and a 30 mph speed sign on McShane Dr.). Ald. Tomczyk moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Pienkos. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously Resolution #152-78 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Extending Retirement Date of Police Chief Ervin W. Kraus to 12/1/80. Ald. Pienkos moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously. Resolution #153-78 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Approval of Ald. Dumke moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Ald. Legal Lot Status - E. Tinti (Lots 2 and 3 Meadowdale Subdivision). Ald. meeting of the Council. Seconded by Ald. Van Lanen. Dumke moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Wallner. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously. Resolution #156-78 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Approval of Preliminary Plat (Heather Ridge Estates - Add. #Z-Town of Vernon). Ald. Dumke moved for adoptipn, seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously. Resolution #157-78 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Approval of Contracts for Kurth and Horn Park Projects. Ald. Schaumberg moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously. Resolution #158-78 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Establishing Public Hearing Date for Rezoning Request (G. Grieve11 - Sec. 16 - RS1 to RSI-OD). Ald. Dumke moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Van Lanen. Hearing date to be 8/22/78 - 7:OO P.M.) Upon roll call the motion to adopt carried unanimously. Resolution #159-78 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Establishing Public Hearing Date for Rezoning Request - S. Potrykus (RSZ, R1, R2 to RS2 OPD - Former Ngttesheim Farm). Ald. Tomczyk moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Schsumberg. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously. (Public Hearing to be 8/22/78 - 7:15 P.M.) Resolution #160-78 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Authorizing moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon roll call the motion Payment of Claim (Paul Crober - $100.00 tree damage). Ald. Schaumberg carried unanimously. Resolution #161-78 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Authorizing the City Engineer to Begin Design of an Invert From Saroyan Road and Sherwood Circle to Tess Corners Creek. Ald. Schaumberg moved for unanimously. adoption, seconded by Tomczyk. Upon roll call the motion carried LICENSE APPROVAL - Ald. Schaumberg moved for the approval of Glory Luedtke, Lynn Busch, Greg Pledl, Thomas Paczesny, Joceill Snyder, subject Motion carried. to receipt of favorable ftngerprint reports. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Aid. Schaumberg moved for the approval of a Class "B" Fermented Malt Beverage and Intoxicating Liquor License for Coreen C. Lavery (Former Kountry Korner). Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Motion carried. 7/25/78 Ald. Schaumberg moved for the approval of a "Gathering Permit" for St. Paul's LutheNChurch for August 6, 1978. Seconded by Ald. Van Lanen, motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS - The Deputy Clerk read a 7/21/78, in the amount of $189.61 for damages as a result of foul balls claim from Janice M'. Heckert, directed to the Mayor and Council, dated Committee and City Attorney. during baseball games conducted at Horn Field. Same referred to Finance ADJOURNMENT - Ald.
