COMMON COUNCIL
CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD FEBRUARY 14, 1978
The meeting was called to order at 8.00 P.M. by Mayor Gottfried. Also
present were Aldermen Dumke,Ford, Pienkos Schaumberg, Van Lanen, Tomczyk
and Wallner, City Attorney Buckley and City Clerk Bowyer.
Ald. Schaumberg moved for the approval of the minutes Of the previous
meeting held 1/24/78, as mailed. Seconded by Ald. Ford, motion carried
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Ald. Schaumberg presented the reports of the Finance Committee meetings
held 2/8/78 and 2/14/78 and moved that same be accepted and placed on
file. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried.
Ald. Tomczyk presented the report of the Public Works Committee meeting
held 2/9/78 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file. Seconded
by Ald. Schaumberg. In answer to a question from Ald. Ford, Mayor
Gottfried advised that the city's consulting engineers will review the
drainage plan for the proposed Marlin Meadows Subdivision. The motion
to accept the report carried.
Ald. Van Lanen presented the report of the Public Welfare Committee
meeting held on 1/25/78 and moved that same be accepted and placed on
file. Seconded by Ald. Wallner, motion carried.
Ald. Ford presented the report of the Public Sewer Committee meeting
held on 1/16/78 and moved that same be accepted and placed on file.
Seconded by Ald. Wallner, motion carried.
The minutes of the Plan Commission meeting held 2/7/78 were acknowledged
and will be placed on file.

UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Ordinance #344 - The Clerk gave the second reading of same, entitled,
An Ordinance to Repeal and Create Certain Provisions of Section 12 18
of the Municipal Code Relating to Emergency Alarm System Ald. Ford
moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Dumke. Upon roll call the motion
carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS
Resolution #19-78 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Authorizing Sewer
Lateral Refund to Frank Hellenthal. Ald. Ford moved for adoption,
seconded by Ald Pienkos. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously
Resolution #20-78 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Approval of Prelim-
inary Plat (Donald Miller) Ald. Dumke moved for adoption, seconded
by Ald. Van Lanen. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously.
Resolution X21-78 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Renewal of Lease
Agreement Between Wauer Fur Foods, Inc. and City of Muskego for Police
Shooting Range. Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt carried
unanimously. (One year agreement - $50 00 per year).
Resolution #22-78 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Setting Public
Hearing Date for kzoning Request (Clifford Young). Ald. Dumke moved
for adoption, seconded by Ald. Van Lanen Upon a roll call vote the
motion carried unanimously.
Resolution #23-78 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Acceptance of Offer
Ald. Pienkos moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. (Lots 6,
to Purchase Parcel of Land in Industrial Park (Surinak Engineering).

Resolution #28-78 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Approval of Subdivisior
Agreement for Guernsey Meadows Addition f11. Ald. Tomczyk moved for
adoption, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. At this time Ald. Ford requested
permission of his fellow aldermen to have Mr. Ray Gray, representing
Rite Realty,speak. As there were no objections, Mr. Gray advised the
aldermen that the owner of each lot abutting Highway 24 would be re-
sponsible for the planting of a screen. He indicated that the plans
for landscaping would have to be approved by the Plan Commission and
that in the event the homeowner failed to complete the landscaping his '
company would do it and that a bond would be provided by Rite Realty Co. ~

Resolution X30-78 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Approval of Agreement
Between City of Muskego and SEWRPC Authorizing Computer Service for
the City. Ald. Schaumberg moved for adoption, seconded by Ald Ford.
Ald. Pienkos spoke as being opposed to the terminal method of computer
service for the city. Upon a roll call vote to adopt Resolution f130-78,
Aldermen Dumke, Ford, Schaumberg and Tomczyk voted "aye". Aldermen
Pienkos, Van Lanen and Wallner voted "no" The motion to adopt Res-
olution f130-78 carried.
Resolution #31-78 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Authorizing Refund I
of $3600 to Simpson-Nelson Corporation (Re: Industrial Park). Ald. !
Schaumberg moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Dumke. (Refund due
to error on the certified survey map that had been presented) Upon
a roll call vote the motion to adopt carried unanimously.

LICENSE APPROVAL - Ald. Schaumberg moved for the approval of Operators
Licenses for Randy Wierzba, Thomas Uecke, Ralph Tomczyk, Jr., Betty
Hoover, Michael Hoover and Loretta Drahonovsky. Seconded by Ald.
Tomczyk. Motion carried.
Ald. Schaumberg moved for the “Gathering“ Permit for the Icetronauts
Tomczyk Motion carried.
Snowmobile Festivities held on 2/4/78 and 2/5/78. Seconded by Ald.
CITY OFFICIAL’S REPORTS - The Clerk read the Building Report for the
month of January, 1978, which indicated seven new dwellings and total
construction cost in the amount of $410,926.00--for~ that month. Report
placed~~on fire.,
ADJOURNMENT.- Ald. Pienkos moved~to adjourn, seconded by Ald. Tornczyk.
Motion carried. The meeting adjourned at.9.21.E.M. .
