Also present were Aldermen Tomczyk, Dumke, 'Van Lanen, Pienkos, Wallner, Ford (arrived at 8:30 P.M.), City Attorney John P. Buckley and City Clerk Bette Bowyer. d. Pienkos moved for the approval of the minutes of the meeting October 25, 1977 and to have them placed on file. Seconded by Ald. Van Lanen, motion carried. Mrs. Nancy Moreno to make a statement. Mrs. Moreno reah a' prepared statement asking the aldermen for a unanimous vote on Resolution #254-77. Following and during discussion, several--aldermen and the Mayor corn- mented on the merits of Resolution {/254-77. Ald. Pienkos moved to amend the resolution by adding the following in the second and third paragraphs, "and that the Common Council directs nuisance ordinance, Section 10.03." the~City Attorney to initiate .a nuisance citation under the city's .. Seconded by Ald. Van-Lanen; the motion to amend carried with Aldermen Dumke, Pienkos and Tomczyk voting '!aye" .and Aldermen Van Lanen and Amended) carried with Ald. Dumke casting the only dissenting vote. Wallner voting' "no". The motion- to:adopt Resolution 8254-77. (As Resolution 11255-77 - Creating the Terminal Point of Hillview Drkve now where cars drive down Hillview Drive out is request was made to discourage the dangerous narrow, has no turn-arounds and no parking area. On the motion to adout Resolution 8255-77. Aldermen Dumke and Tmczvk voted "aye" and to the ice, endangering children in the vicinity. " Conunon Council November 8, 1977 Page 2 OMMUNICATTONS FROM THE MAYOR'S OFFICE ayor Gottfried addressed the senior citizens who were present and were concerned about the Senior Citizen Cormnittee to be appointed by the Mayor. It would be the ultimate goal of the committee to review the needs of the Senior Citizens of the community. It is hoped that the committee will be formed at the next Common Council meeting, and he study will take at least six months to find out what their needs re and from that perhaps we will be able to develop several programs Heclanan, president of Muskego's Senior Citizens Club to speak. to serve their needs. Ald. Dumke moved for adoution. seconded by Ald. Tomczyk. Upon ;oil call the motion carried'unanimously. Resolution #264-77 - Rejection of Bid Received for Concrete Invert Ald. Tomczyk seconded the motion. Mayor Gottfried stated that from S.T.H. 24 to Windsor Road. Ald ~Dumke moved for adoption. Public Works Director, Willard Bertram would like to re-bid this project this fall, inasmuch as it is possible to do the job yet this fall if weather permits, and a better bid could come in now, rather than waiting until spring. Ald. Pienkos moved to amend Resolution 8264-77 by removing "in 1978" the end of the fourth paragraph, and "for in the spring of 1978" the end of the last paragraph. Seconded by pld. Tomczyk, the motion to amend carried. Resolution #267-77 - Granting Permission for Driving Skill Contest Ald. Tomczyk, upon a roll call the motion carried unanimously. LICENSE APPROVAL - Ald. Dumke moved for the approval of Opera- tors Licenses for Ralph Kachelmeier, Gloria Waldoch and Mary Schmidt. Seconded by Ald. Tomczyk, motion carried. Ald. Dumke also moved to approve an Operators-License for Jody Westenberg and Dennis Rockafield.. Seconded by.Ald. Van Lanen,.motion carried. *on Little Muskego Lake. Ald. Ford moved for adoption. Seconded by VOUCHER APPROVAL - Ald. Pienkos moved-for the approval of vouchers in the amount of.$1,095.00. - Seconded by Ald. Dumke.. Report placed on file. - COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS. - Ald. Pienkos discussed the need for agendas-for committee meetings. Atty. Buckley stated the open meeting law requires:an agenda when possible, but-it does not require the meeting be confined to the agenda, which must be mailed to the. paper and aldermen;-.Ald.
