MINUTES OF MEETING HELD NOVEMBER 26, 1974
The meeting was called to order at 7~43 P.M. by Mayor Gottfried. Also
nresent were Aldermen Colburn. Foldy, Dumke, Knudsen, Schaumberg and
9 Wallner, Deputy Clerk June Elger and-City Attorney John P. Buckley. Ald. Ford was absent.
Ald. Foldy moved for the approval of the minutes of the meeting held on

November 12, 1974, and that they be accepted and placed on file. Seconded
by Ald. Colburn, motion carried.
Ald. Foldy presented the report of the Finance Committee meeting held on
11/20/74 and moved that it be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by
Ald. Dumke, motion carried.
Ald. Dumke presented the report of the Public Works Conunittee meeting held
on 11/21/74 and moved that it be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by
Ald. Wallner, motion carried.
Ald. Foldy presented the report of the Public Welfare Coanaittee meeting
held on 11114174 and moved that it be accepted and placed on file. Seconded
by Ald. Knudsen, motion carried.

Ald.Knudssnpresented the report of the Public Safety Committee meeting held on 1116174 and moved that it be accepted and placed on file. Seconded
by Ald. Seconded by Ald. Wallner, motion carried.
Ald. Colburnpresented the report-of~the .Rules,, Laws &iGfdinance Cori&ttee
held on li/24/74-and moved that it be accepted and placed on file. Seconded
by Ald. Wallner, motion carried.
The minutes of the Plan Commission meeting held on 11/19/74 were received
and placed on file.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Resolution 8234-74 - Resolution Cancelling Gravel, Inc. Bond. Ald. Knudsen
moved to table this resolution. Seconded by Ald. Wallner. Upon roll call
the motion to table Resolution j/234-74 carried with Ald. Dumke casting a
dissenting vote.
Ordinance #293 - The Deputy Clerk gave the second reading of same, entitled,
An Ordinance to Rezone Certain Property and to Amend the Zoning Map of the
City (Re: Rezoning I-l to A - Sec. 36) Ald.,Schaumberg moved for adoption,
seconded by Ald. Dumke. In answer to a question from Ald. Knudsen Mayor
Gottfried advised there had been no petitions filed opposing this rezoning.
Upon roll call the motion to adopt carried unanimously.
Ordinance $1294 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, An Ordinance to
Rezone Certain Property and to Amend the Zoning Map of the City (Rezoning
of B-2 to RS-2 - Triangular piece of property between College Ave. and
Martin Drive). Ald. Knudsen spoke as being opposed to the adoption of
this ordinance and upon a roll call vote Aldermen Colbum, Dumke.&Schaumberg
voted "aye". Aldermen Foldy, Knudsen and Wallner voted "no". There being
a tie vote, Mayor Gottfried voted "aye". The motion to adopt Ordinance
$1294 carried.
COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR'S OFFICE
Mayor Gottfried advised that the annual meeting of the Little Muskego Lake

Protection and Rehabilitation District would be held in the Little Theater
of the Intermediate School on Monday, December 9, 1974, at 8:00 P.M. and
that the Public Hearing on the proposed 1975 city budget would be held
on Tuesday, December 10, 1974, at 7:00 P.M. in the council chambers. He
further advised that the budget was ready for distribution.

Resolution j/270-74 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Denial of Legal
Status (Preston). l . Ald. Schaumberg moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Knudsen. Upon roll call the motion carried with Ald. Wallner casting a
dissenting vote.
l Resolution #272-74 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Establishing Salaries for Certain City of Muskego Employees for 1975. Aid. Knudsen
moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Foldy. Mayor Gottfried reviewed for
the aldermen the salary ranges of non-represented employees pointing out
that in accordance with a recommendation from the Finance Committee there
would be alterations made to the Police Chief's and Lieutenant's proposed
1975 salaries. Ald. Foldy moved to amend Resolution $1272-74 by changing
the Chief of Police salary to be $18,692.00 per year and the Lieutenant's
salary to be $16,398.00. Seconded by Ald. Dumke. Upon a roll call vote
to amend Resolution Y/272-74 the motion carried with Ald. Knudsen casting a
dissenting vote. Upon a roll call vote to adopt Resolution i/272-74, AS
amended, the motion carried unanimously.
Resolution i/273-74 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Authorizing
Advertising of Bids for New Squad Cars. Ald. Schaumberg moved for adoption,
l seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Ald. Knudsen suggested that the committee
consider the possibility of providing the 1974 squad cars for use by various
city departments. Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt Resolution
$1273-74 carried unanimously.
Resolution j/274-74 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Acceptance of
Offer to Purchase Lot 13 Block 16 in Fountainwood Subdivision. Ald. Foldy
moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Knudson. Upon roll call the motion
carried unanimously.
Resolution $1275-74 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Acceptance of
Offer to Purchase Lot in Industrial Park (H. Brodel). Ald. Knudsen moved
for adoption, seconded by Ald. Foldy. Upon roll call the motion carried
unanimously.
Resolution #276-74 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Approval of
Maintenance Agreement With Savin Business Machines Corporation. Ald.
Foldy moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Wallner. Upon roll call the
motion carried unanimously.
e Resolution #277-74 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Approval of
Maintenance Agreement with IBM (new typewriter in city hall). Ald.
Schaumberg moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Dumke. Upon roll call
the motion to adopt carried unanimously.
Resolution 8278-74 - The Deputy Clerk read same, entitled, Authorizing
Ruekert & Mielke to Prepare Plans and Specifications for Water, Sewers
and Roads in the Industrial Park. Ald. Knudsen moved for adoption, seconded
by Ald. Wallner. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously.

At 8:45 P.M. Mayor Gottfried declared a recess and the meeting reconvened
at 9:05 P.M.
VOUCHER APPROVAL - Ald. Schaumberg moved for the approval of payment
of general vouchers in the amount of $244,867.44 payable 11/26/74.
Seconded by Ald. Colburn. Upon roll call the motion carried unanimously.
