ccm19720601COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING HELD JUNE 1, 1972 Mayor Gottfried called the meeting to order at 8:30 P.M Present: Ald. Absent: DeBack, Dumke, Faldy, Knudsen, Sapp and Schaumberg. Ald. Ford. Also present, City Clerk B. .T.Bowyer and Seegar Swanson Jr., Financial Consultant. The Common Council determined, upon examination of the seven sealed bids received for the borrowing of $800,000.00 in Pro- missory Notes, that the best proposal received was that submitted by the First National Bank of Milwaukee. The City Clerk read Rasol. 114-72, Authorizing the Mayor and City Clerk to execute an Acceptance of Promissory Note Offer. Ald. Foldy moved for adoption of Resol. 114-72, motion seconded by Ald. Knudsen and upon roll call vote, motion carried. The City Clerk read Resol. 115-72, Resolution authorizing the City of Muskego to borrow the sum of $800,000.00 pursuant to Sec. 67.12 (12) of the Wis. Statutes for various corporate pur- poses. Motion was made by Ald. Sapp that Resol. 115-72 be adopted, motion seconded by Ald. Dumke, and upon a roll call vote, motion carried. Ald. DeBack moved to amend Resol. 63-72, Acceptance of Low Bid for Construction of New Municipal Garage by amending the low bid price of Gebhardt-Nell in all related paragraphs, from $75,719.00 to $71,619.00, motion seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Upon a roll call vote, amendment to Resol. 63-72, carried. Upon a roll call vote, Resol. 63-72, As Amended carried. Discussion followed relative to adoption of Resol. 64-72, Accept- ance of Low Bid for Grading of a Portion of the Industrial Park. Upon roll call vote, motion to adopt Resol. 64-72 carried. (Refer to Common Council minutes 5/9/72) Ald. DeBack moved to amend Resol. 65-72, Acceptance of Low Bid for Installation of Sewer and Water Mains in a Portion of Industrial Park, 4th column, Water Main (with spoil backfill) from $35,210.40 to $25,410.40, motion seconded by Ald. Schaumberg and upon roll call vote, motion to amend carried. Upon a roll call vote, Resol. 65-72, As Amended, carried. Ald. Knudsen moved for adjournment at lo:15 P.M., motion seconded by Ald.
