ccm19710921CITY OF MUSKEGO COMMON COUNCIL MINUTES OF ADJOURNED MEETING OF SEPTEMBER 14, 1971, .HELD ON SEPTEMBER 21, 1971 Mayor Gottfried called the meeting to order at 7~15 P.M. a PRESENT: Mayor Jerome Gottfried, Aldermen Burgermeister, Dumke Narlock, Sapp and Schaumberg. Also present were City Attorney John Buckley and City Clerk Bette J. Bowyer. Ald. Foldy arrived at 7~34 P.M. NEW BUSINESS Resolution #186-71 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Acceptance of Low Bid for the Reconstruction of Woods Road from Racine Avenue to Lannon Drive (DeBack Grading) Ald. Burgermeister moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Schaumberg. Upon a roll call vote, the motion to adopt Res- olution f/186-71 carried unanimously. Resolution i/187-71 - The Clerk rea~d same, entitled, Authorizing the Sale of Assessment "B" Bonds ($1,080,000.00) Mr. Seegar Swanson, Financial Consultant representing Ehlers & Associates, reviewed the purpose and contents of Resolution #187-71. Ald. Narlock moved for adoption of the resolution, seconded by Ald. Burgenneister. Upon a roll call vote, the motion to adopt Resolution f/187-71 carried unanimously. Resolution i/188-71 - The Clerk read same, entitled, Resolution Authorizing Execution of Agreement With William and Helen Fillman for the Recon- struction of Woods Road (From Racine Ave. to Lannon Drive). She also read the proposed agreement. Ald. Burgermeister moved for adoption, seconded by Ald. Foldy. Upon a roll call vote, the motion to adopt carried unanimously. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Ald. Dumke stated.that he felt the Council had made a mistaXe in setting a hearing on the George Schaefer farm because we did not have all the facts and because the Plan Commission had not received all the information necessary to make a recommendation to the Council. He therefore moved to reconsider the motion that had been adopted by the Council on September 14, 1971, which set the public hearing date for the rezoning of the George Schaefer property for October 19, 1971, at 7:15 P.M. in the High School. Seconded by Ald. Foldy. The Clerk read the motion in its entirety. Ald. Burgermeister spoke in opposition of the motion to re- consider the motion. Upon a roll call vote to reconsider the motion that set the public hearing for October 19, 1971, at 7:15 P.M. in the High School, Aldermen Dumke, Foldy, Narlock, Sapp and Schaumberg voted "aye". Alderman Burgermeister voted "nay". The motion to reconsider carried. On the motion to set the public hearing for October 19, 1971, in the High School, Aldermen Dumke, Foldy, Narlock, Sapp and Schaumberg voted "nay". Alderman Burgermeister voted "aye". The motion to set the public hearing did not carry. Mayor Gottfried advised the aldermen that the city has applied for funds for five positions under the Emergency Employee Act of 1971.
