ccm19710622COMMON COUNCIL - CITY OF MUSKEGO - MINUTES OF MEETING HELD 6/22/71 Mayor Gottfried called the meeting to order at 7:50 P.M. PRESENT: Mayor Jerome Gottfried, Ald. Robert Burgermeister, Harold DeBack, Charles Foldy, Frank Narlock, Lois Sapp and Paul Schaumberg. Also present: City Clerk B. 3. Eowyer 5 City Attorney Buckley. Absent: Ald. Edwin Dumke. Ald. Sapp moved for the approval of the Common Council minutes of meeting held on June 8, 1971, as mailed, and that they be placed on file, motion seconded by Ald. Narlock, motion carried. Ald. Burgermeister presented the report of the Finance Committee meeting held on June 16, 1971 and moved that the report be accepted and placed on file, motion seconded by Ald. Narlock, motion carried. Ald. DeBack presented the report of the Public Works Committee meet- ing held on June 17, 1971 and moved that the report be accepted and placed on file, motion seconded by Ald. Foldy, motion carried. Ald. Narlock presented the report of the Rules, Laws and Ord. Committee meeting held on June 10, 1971 and moved that the report be accepted and placed on file, motion seconded by Ald. Foldy and motion carried. Ald. Schaumberg presented the report of the Public Welfare/Sewer Comm- ittee meeting held on June 17, 1971 and moved that the report be accepted and placed on file, motion seconded by Ald. DeBack and motion carried. UNFINISHED BUSINESS Resol. 8111-71 - Resolution Authorizing Conveyance of Land to Frank DeAngelis. Ald. DeBack moved to defer action on Resol. Fill-71 for two weeks, motion seconded by Ald. Burgermeister, motion carried. COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR'S OFFICE - Clerk Bowyer presented a proclamation from the Mayor's Office proclaiming July 1, 1971 as "Postal Service Day". MEN BUS INE S S The clerk read same, Resolution #119-71, Expressing Opposition to Assembly Bill 614. hid. Narlock moved to adopt Resol. #119-71, motion seconded by Ald. Burgermeister, motion carried. The clerk read same, Resol. #120-71, Approving a Lease Agreement between the Muskego-Norway School District and the City of Muskego. Ald. Burgermeister moved that Resol. #120-71 be adopted, motion seconded by Ald. Narlock and upon roll call vote, motion carried. The clerk read same, Resol. 8121-71, Denying the Rezoning Request of Alvin Fried, Richard Zach and Paul Burbach. Ald. DeBack moved that Resol. f/121-71 be adopted, as seconded by Ald. Burgermeister, and upon roll call vote, motion carried. The clerk read same, Resolution 8122-71, Initiating the Rezoning of Certain Parcels of Land in Sec. 3 as Recommended by the Plan Commission. Ald. DeBack moved that Resol. 8122-71 be adopted, motion seconded by Ald. Burgermeister. Ald. Burgermeister moved to amend Resol. #122-71, last paragraph to read: Therefore, Be It Resolved, that the Common Council of the City of Nuskego does hereby direct the City Attorney to draft the necessary ordinance to implement the above change, motion seconded by Ald. DeBack. Motion to amend Resol. #122-71 carried. Upon a roll call vote, to adopt Resol. f/122-71, as amended, carried. The clerk read same, Resol. 8123-71, Authorizing Expenditure for S.T.H. 24. Ald. Rurgermeister moved, as seconded by hid. Foldy, tllat general vouchers he approved in the amount of $211,428.27, and upon roll call vote, motion carried. Ald. Narlock moved as seconded by hid. Gurgermeister, that sewer vouchers be approved in the am"unt of $29!3,5OG.OO, and upon roll call vote, motion carried. Ald. Narlock moved, as seconded hy Aid. Sapp, that sewer utility vouchers in the amount of $l,C45.41 he approved and upon rolls call vote, motion carried.
