CITY OF MUSKEGO
MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING HELD SEPTEMBER 4, 1969
Mayor Wieselmann called the meeting to order at 7~43 P.M.
a PRESENT: Mayor Wieselmann, Aldermen Edmund Budish, Robert Burgenneister,
Harold DeBack, Frank Narlock and Walter Wollman. Also present were City
Clerk Bette J. Bowyer and City Attorney John P. Buckley. Ald. Emett
* O'Connell was also present.
ABSENT: Ald. Lois Sapp.
The Deputy Clerk read the Notice of the Special Meeting that had been
sent to the Aldermen which stated that the purpose of the meeting was
for the James T. Barry Co., Inc. to give an interim report on the
Industrial Zoning and the Industrial Development in the City of Muskego
and any other business as may be deemed necessary.
Industrial Report - Mr. JamescT. Barry reported that this was only an
interim report and his final report would be made after he has met with
officials of the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission
and local people during the coming week. Mr. Barry highly recommended
that the land located west of new Highway "Y" and south of Highway "24"
would be the most feasible land to be zoned Industrial due to the fact
that sewer and water is available, the proximity to the proposed Civic
Center and the location of the land near the interchange of the new
Rock Freeway. Mr. Barry further indicated that he is concerned with
the present but could not prognosticate into the future. At this time
he could not make a determination as to how much land should be rezoned,
the participation of financing or the amount to be spent. Following
a lengthy discussion between the Aldermen, Mr. Barry and Mayor Wieselmann,
Mr. Barry concluded his report at 9:15 P.M.
Miecellaneous Business
Mr. Henry Trilling of the Great Lakes Appraisal Co. gave a Progress
Report on the re-assessment of the City.
Discussion took place regarding the sewer installation on the Gerald
Apmann property at W171 56934 Lannon Dr. where the lateral at the lot
line was too high making the depth at the house too low. Ald. Budish
moved to have the City Engineers get quotations to correct the error

that has occurred on the sewer lateral at the Apmann residence. Seconded
by Ald. Burgermeister. Upon a roll call vote, Ald. Budish's motion
carried unanimously.
Ordinance i/153 - An Ordinance to Rezone Certain Property and to Amend the
Zoning Map of the City of Muskego, Wisconsin. Ald. Narlock moved to
suspend the rules in order that the Council might act on Ordinance #153.
Seconded by Ald. DeBack. Upon a roll call vote, the motion to suspend
the rules carried unanimously. The,Clerk gave the first reading of
Ordinance 8153. Ald. Narlock moved to suspend the rules in order to
e have the second reading of Ordinance #153. Seconded by Ald. DeBack.
Upon a roll call vote, the motion to suspend the rules carried unanimously.
Ald. DeBack moved for the adoption Ordinance #153, seconded by Ald.
Wollman. Upon a voice vote, the motion to adopt Ordinance #153 carried.
Clerk Bette Bowyer requested~ that a Public Sewer Committee meeting be
held in the near future in order that the many problems relating to sewer
installation and billing be resolved. Mayor Wieselmann set the date of
the Sewer Committee meeting to be held on Monday, September 15, 1969 at l 4:oo P.M. Consulting Engineer John Mielke to be present at the meeting.
Adjournment - Ald. Wollman moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by
Ald. DeBack. Motion carried and the meeting adjourned.at 10:00 P.M.
