Prior to roll call, the City Clerk administered the Oath of Office to the newly elected aldermen as follows: Ward 7, Edmund Budish, Ward 6, e Harold DeBack, Ward 2, Walter Wollman, and Ward 4, Lois Sapp. PRESENT: Aldermen Edmund Budish, Robert Burgermeister, Kenneth Cooley, Harold DeBack, Frank Narlock, Lois Sapp and Walter Wollman. Also present were City Attorney John P. Buckley and City Clerk Bette J. Bowyer. Mayor Wieselmann extended congratulations to Mrs. Sapp and to the returning members of the Common Council and indicated that it was his hope that there would be a close working relationship between the members of the Common Council and himself. ELECTION OF COMMON COUNCIL PRESIDENT - Mayor Wieselmann appointed Tri- Town Hub Reported Mrs. Vi Joy and City Engineer Joseph Kelsenberg to act as ballot clerks. On the Nominating Ballot Alderman Wollman re- ceived 4 votes and Alderman Budish received 3 votes. On the Election Ballot, Alderman Wollman received 5 votes and Alderman Budish received 2 votes. Alderman Wollman was elected to be President of the Common ';) Council. Ald. Wollman thanked the Aldermen for voting for him and for their confidence in him. MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Mayor Wieselmann introduced Mr. Joseph Kelsenberg, newly appointed City Engineer for the City of Muskego, to the audience and table. The Clerk read a Proclamation, dated, April 15, 1969, proclaiming April 24, 1969, as "Wisconsin Jr. Miss Day" in Muskego in honor of Miss Christine Flasch. The Clerk read a Proclamation proclaiming the week of April 20th thru 26th, 1969, as "National Library Week" in the City of Muskego. RESOLUTION #46-69 - The Clerk read Resolution j/46-69, entitled, Appointment of Municipal Justice for the City of Muskego. Ald. Budish moved to suspend the rules that would interfere with the adoption of Resolution f/46-69. l Seconded by Ald. Wollman. Upon a roll call vote to suspend the rules, the motion carried unanimously. Ald. Narlock moved for the adoption of Resolution #46-69, seconded by Ald. DeBack. Upon a roll call vote, the motion to adopt Resolution #46-69 carried unanimously. The new Municipal Justice to be Richard Wittbrot. COMMUNICATIONS The Clerk read a communication from Gravel, Inc. directed to the Mayor and Common Council, dated April 14, 1969, requesting a renewal of their ex- tractive permit. * The Clerk read a petition from David R. Beierle requesting a zoning change in Sec. 16 from RS-2 to RSM. je
