MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING HELD MAY 20, 1968
l The meeting was called to order at 8:39 P.M. by Mayor Wieselmann.
w PRESENT: Mayor Donald Wieselmann, Aldermen Edmund Budish, Robert
Burgermeister, Kenneth Cooley, Ha~rold DeBack, Roland Linck, Frank
Narlock and Walter Wollman. City Attorney John Buckley, Attorney
Thomas Clemons and City Clerk Bette J. Bowyer were also present.
Resolution #84-68 - Alderman Budish moved to suspend the rules that
would interfere with the adoption of Resolution $184-68. Seconded
by Alderman Wollman. Upon a roll call vote, the motion to suspend
the rules carried unanimously. The Clerk read Resolution #84-68,
entitled, Authorizing Lease Agreement Between the City of Muskego
and the Drott Tractor Company for the Purchase of Highway Equipment.
Alderman Budish moved that Resolution #84-68 and the Lease Agreement
be brought to the floor for adoption. Seconded by Alderman Narlock.
Upon several questions directed to Alderman Budish, it was his
request to his fellow aldermen to have Mr. George Jacobson, Sales
Representative of the Drott Tractor and Equipment Company speak.
As there were no objections, Mr. Jacobson explained the various
additional equipment that could be used on the Drott Self-Propelled
Cruz-Air Backhoe Machine. He agreed to allow the City to use free
of charge the additional equipment listed in the Lease Agreement
during the option period and the 4 in 1 bucket could be used for
a whole year at no cost to the City and if it were not satisfactory,
it could be returned. Discussion ensued concerning simple 8% per
annum interest rate contained in the agreement a~nd Attorney Buckley
advised that it would be more advantageous to the City to borrow
the money from a bank on a chattel mortgage at a lesser interest
rate. Upon a roll call vote, the motion to adopt Resolution #84-68
and the Lease Agreement carried unanimously.
Resolution #85-68 - Alderman Burgermeister moved to suspend the
rules that would interfere with the adoption of Resolution i/85-68$
seconded by Alderman Narlock. Upon a roll call vote to suspend the
rules, the motion carried unanimously. The Clerk read Resolution
f/85-68, entitled, Resolution Authorizing the Issuance of a $1,100,000.00
Promissory Note of the City of Muskego, Waukesha County, Wisconsin,
Providing Details Thereof and Levying Taxes Therefor. Upon a roll
call vote, the motion carried unanimously.
MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS
In answer to a question from Alderman Cooley pertaining to the
resolutions on the Racine Avenue Sewer Project, Mayor Wieselmann
indicated that this will be taken up by the Special Committee on
Financing and the Sewer Committee as soon as a meeting can be arranged.
* Alderman Narlock moved to adjourn the meeting, seconded by Alderman
Budish, motion carried. The meeting adjourned at 9:16 P.M.
