ccm19661227COMMON COUNCIL CITY OF MUSREGO MINUTES OF MEETING HELD DECEMBER 27, 1966. 0 Mayor Gottfried called the meeting to order at 7~35 P.M. PRESENT - Mayor Gottfried, Aldermen Edmund Budish, Sivier Joost, Jr., a S. Robert Lentini, Roland Linck, Myron Weaver, Donald Wieselmann and Walter Wollman. Also present were Clerk Bette Bowyer and Attorney Hippenmeyer. MINUTES - Alderman Wollman moved to accept the minutes of the meeting held on December 13, 1966, seconded by Alderman Weaver, motion carried. COMMI'FIEE REPORTS Finance Cormnittee - Alderman Linck presented the report of the Finance Committee meeting held on December 21, 1966, and moved that the report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Alderman Joost, motion carried. Public Works Committee - Alderman Wollman presented the report of l the Public Works Committee meeting held on December 22, 1966, and moved that the report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Alderman Budish, motion carried. Public Safety Committee - Alderman Lentini presented the report of the Safety Committee meeting held on December 20, 1966, and moved that the report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Alderman Linck, motion carried. Public Welfare Committee - Alderman Budish presented the report of the Public Welfare Committee meeting held on December 21, 1966, and moved that the report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Alderman Wieselmann, motion carried. Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee - Alderman Joost presented the report of the Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee meeting held on December 22, 1966, and moved that the report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Alderman Wollman, motion carried. 0 Plan Commission - The report of the joint meeting of the Common Council and the Plan Commission regarding industrial development in the City of Muskego held on December 20, 1966, was accepted and placed on file. COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR'S OFFICE Mayor Gottfried announced that the public hearing date for the special assessments for the installation of sanitary sewer pipe in Racine Avenue has been set for January 11, 1967, at Muskego High School at 8:00 P.M. .* and the hearing for the special assessments for the installation of sidewalks, driveway approaches, curb and gutter and storm sewer in Racine Avenue will be held on the same date, also at the High School at 9:00 P.M. UNFINISHED BUSINESS None l NEW BUSINESS Page 2. Resolution #220 - The Clerk read Resolution #220, entitled, Joining the National Suburban League, Ltd. Alderman Budish moved for the adoption of Resolution #220, seconded by Alderman Linck. Alderman Joost moved to amend Resolution $1220 by adding the following sentence l to the last paragraph: Monies to be allocated from the General Fund. Seconded by Alderman Linck, motion carried. After discussion, Alderman Wieselmann moved to defer action on Resolution 11220 to allow 0 time to gather more information as to the definite aims of the newly created organization. Seconded by Alderman Weaver. The motion to defer action on Resolution #220, As Amended, carried. Resolution #221 - The Clerk read Resolution $1221, entitled, Authorizing the purchase of a Pitney-Bowes Postage Meter Mailing Machine. Alderman Wieselmann moved for the adoption of Resolution #221, seconded by Alderman Joost. Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt Resolution 11221 carried unanimously. Resolution if222 - The Clerk read Resolution $1222, entitled, The Creation of a Reserve Account for Park and Recreation Board. Alderman Joost moved for the adoption of Resolution 11222, seconded by Alderman Budish. Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt Resolution 11222 carried unanimously. Resolution #223 - The Clerk read Resolution #223, entitled, Appropriating the Sum of $2,000.00 to the Police and Fire Commission, Alderman Linck moved for the adoption of Resolution #223, seconded by Alderman Lentini. Alderman Wieselmann moved to amend Resolution #223 by adding the following words to the fifth paragraph, "and that sum of $2,000.00 to be transferred thereto from Reserve Account i/267, Police Department." Seconded by Alderman Weaver. The motion to amend Resolution #223 carried. Upon a roll call vote the motion to adopt Resolution #223, As Amended, carried unanimously. Resolution 1~224 - The Clerk read Resolution $1224, entitled, Author- izing the Wisconsin Natural Gas Company to Install Gas Mains Along the Right-of-Ways of Streets in the City. Alderman Budish moved for the adoption of Resolution #224, seconded by Alderman Wollman, motion carried. LICENSE APPROVAL - Alderman Budish moved for the approval of a Dance Hall License for State Fair Park, Inc. Seconded by Alderman l Linck, motion carried. Alderman Linck moved for the approval of Operator's Licenses for Joseph Smodi and Steven Krzman. Seconded by Alderman Budish, motion carried. VOUCHER APPROVAL - Alderman Linck moved that the Common Council approve payment of vouchers in the amount of $11,012.49, payable to December 27, 1966. Seconded by Alderman Joost, Upon a roll call vote the motion to pay the vouchers carried unanimously. CITY OFFICIAL'S REPORT - None * COMMUNICATIONS AND MISCELLANEOUS BUSINESS Alderman Joost requested that the Aldermen give consideration as to ;i,a;i;pe of ad plate they would like inserted into the new mailing .
