MINUTES OF MEETING HELD JANUARY 25, 1966
The meeting wa8 called to order at 7831 P.M. by Mayor Gottfried.
Present - Mayor Jerome Gottfried, Aldermen Paul De Angelis, Henry Hudziak, Edmund Budish, Myron Weaver, Donald Wieselmann and Henry Wolf, City~ Clerk Bette Bowyer and Attorney Reilly.
Absent - Mr. Arthur Bostater.
Minutes - Alderman Budish moved that the minutes of the previourr meeting held January 11, 1966, be accepted and placed on file. seconded by Alderman Wolf.-- Alderman Wiesslmann corrected the minutes of January 11, 1966, as follows: Under Miscellaneous Businese, third paragraph, after the words "per Hour" to read, Alderman Wieselmann moved to emend Ordinance #27 to leave the Assistant Librarian88 salary at $2.00. The motion lost due to the lack of a second. The motion to accept the minutes of January 11, as corrected, was approved.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Finance Committee - Alderman Wolf presented the report of the Finance Committee meeting held January 19, 1966, and moved that the report be accepted and placed on file; Seconded by Alderman Budish, motion carried.
Public Welfare Committee - Alderman De Angelia presented the report of the Public Welfare Committee meeting held on January 19, 1966, and moved that the report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Alderman Budeiak, motion carried.
Public Works Committee - Alderman Wieselmann presented the report of th P bli Works Committee meeting on January 20, 1966, and mozed"thai the report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Alderman Weaver. Alderman Budish amended the minutes of the Publio Works Committee, the third paragraph to read "Bids have already been advertised for the project" instead of "Bids have already been let out for the project." The motion to accept the report of the Public Works Committee, as corrected, carried.
Rules, Laws & Ordinance Committee - Alderman Weaver presented the report of the Rules, Law8 & Ordinance Committee meeting

held on January 20, 1966, and moved that the report be accepted and placed on file. Seconded by Alderman De Angelis, motion carried.
Planning Commission - The report of the Planning Commission meeting of January 18. 1966, was accepted and placed on file.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Ordinance #31 - Clerk Bette Bowyer read Ordinance #31, i.e. an Ordinanoe to amend the Zoning Ordinance and the Official Zoning Map of the City of Muskego. Alderman Wieselmann moved for the adoption of Ordinance #31. Seconded by Alderman Weaver,

COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE MAYOR'S OFFICE
For the benefit of the Aldermen, Mayor Gottfried stated that a meeting will be held at the next Planning Commission, 7rOO P.M.,
city Hall, with Wisconsin Eleotric Power Company officials in regard to the transmission utilities line they propose to erect
l through the City of Muskego. They will answer questions directed to them regarding the proposed route.

Mayor Gottfried reported that a meeting with the County and State Highway Committee will be held in the Highway Offices at the County Court House in regard to the proposed reconstruotion of Raclne Avenue on February 7, 1966, at 7:00 P.M.
Mayor Gottfried read communications from Attorney Hlppenmeyer and County Clerk Richard Sylvester stating that the Hub Newspaper has filed a Qualifying Certificate of an Official Newspaper.
Mayor Gottfried called attention to a restoration plan map posted in City Hall for Gravel, Inc. showing the 1961 contours also the 1965 con@urs of the excavation. He stated that City Engineer Frank Ruekert has also received a copy of this restoration plan and is recommending that a Bond be posted in the amount of $40,000.00 to the City. This to be approved at the next Common Council meeting. Alderman Weaver stated that the cost of the Bond should be brought out.
HEW BUSINESS
Ordinance #26 - The Clerk gave the first reading of Ordinance 26 i .e. An Ordinance to Amend the Zoning Ordinanoe of the City of iuskego, The second reading will be given at the next Council meeting.
l $;;naa;" A#32 - The Clerk gave the first reading of Ordinance n Ordinanoe Establishing the hours which the Election Polls are to be Open in the City of Muskego.
Voucher Approval - Alderman Wolf moved that the Common Council approve DaDBent of vouahers in the amount of $10.757.6& nayable to-January-2.5, 1966. Seconded by Alderman Budi&;- ~Updn‘a-roll call vote the motion carried Unanimously.
Rescue Service Contract Apvroval - The Clerk read the proposed contract between the Tess Corners Fire Department and the City of Muskego to provide emergency rescue service to residents of the City. Alderman Hudziak moved that the oontraot between the City of Muskego and the Tess Corners Fire Department be approved and that the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to execute the contract. Seconded by Alderman Wleselmann, and upon a roll call vote the motion carried unanimously.
License Request and Approval - Alderman Wolf moved that the Common Council deny the appfication of one Harriet Greene for a Class B Fermented Malt and Intoxicating Liquor License. Seconded by Alderman Budish. In answer to a question by Alderman Hudsiak, Alderman Wolf explained that this request was denied due to the fact that her brother, Charles Greene, who ha8 been denied a similar applioation because of a police record, would be living on the premises whioh according to a City Ordinance would permit him to tend bar since he is an Immediate relative. Alderman Wolf further stated that the record of Harriet Greene Is clear and unblemished. The motion to deny Harriet Greene a Class B Fer- mented Malt and Intoxicating Liquor License carried.
Alderman Wolf moved that the Common Counoil approve a Class B Fermented Malt and Intoxicating Liquor Lioense for Edward Stabo. Seconded by Alderman Budish, motion carried.
CITY OFFICIALS REPORT
Attorney Reilly informed the Council that on January 24, 1966, a decision had been received from the Dane County Circuit Court in regard to the case of the Town of Norway vs. the Committee on Water Pollution and the State Board of Health. The City now will

go ahead with the condemnation procedure for the proposed lagoon site. In answer to a question from Alderman Jiudsiak aa to whether or not he felt it would be safe for the City to go ahead with the condemnation procedure, Attorney Reilly stated that this was the opinion of a very learned Judge, however, the Town of Norway would have the right to take an appeal to the Supreme Court of Wisconsin.
The Clerk read a communication from Mr. and Mrs. Melford Foth protesting a $9.75 weed cutting charge on a lot owned
by them. Communication referred to Finance Committee.
The Clerk read a communiaation from S. Robert Lentini and an opinion from Attorney Hippenmeyer regarding the refusal of Building Permits on non-conforming lots In Hi Y Subdivision. Both oommunicatlons referred to the Planning Commission.
