CITY OF MUSKEGO
SPECIAL MEETING HELD November 8, 1965 for the purpose of discussion of the 1966 Budget.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Gottf'ried with all members of the Common Council present.

Alderman Bostater moved, as seconded by Alderman Wolf that Mayor
Gottfried be nominated Chainan for the special meeting, motion
carried~.
Mayor Gottfried reviewed the 1966 Budget which had been distributed noting changes and additions made requesting that each Alderman
note the change on the budget sheets.
Many questions were raised by Council members concerning budgets of
various departments such as Clerk-Treas., City Hall Maint., Police,
Fire Dept., (rescue service), City Planning, Library, Site for
Center and Recreation. Discussion followed relative to each question
raised by the Aldermen.
Action concerning the Police Department Budget, Alderman Wolf moved
l that the Police Dept. Budget be raised to $&,OOO.OO, motion seconded
by Alderman Hudziak and upon roll call vote, motion lost.
Alderman Bostater moved that the Council eliminate $20,000.00
for Municipal Site from the budget, motion seconded by Aldermen
Wieselmann, and upon roll call, motion lost.
Alderman Bostater moved that the $27,644.00 proposed tax levy, difference being between Anticipated Revenues and Expenditures,
be raised by taking same from surplus funds, motion seconded by
Alderman Wieselmann, and upon roll call, motion lost.
Alderman Budish moved, as seconded by Alderman Wieselmann, to
adjourn at 9:40 P.M., motion carried.
