ccm19650323Minutes of the Common Council meeting of the City of Muskego held on March 23, 1965, at the City Hall with Mayor Gottfried
convening. Meeting called to order at 7:50 P.M. Upon roll call,
Aldermen Bostater, Budish, De Angelis, Hudziak, Weaver,
Wi'eselmann and Wolf were present.
Minutes of previous meeting were approved as mailed.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
Alderman Wolf presented Finance CommitteeIs report of March 22,.
1965. Alderman Wolf moved, as seconded by Alderman Budish, that
the Finance Committee report be accepted and placed on file. Motion
carried.
Alderman Weaver presented Rules, Laws & Ord. Committeers minutes of
March 18, 1965;. Alderman Weaver moved that the Committee report be
accepted and placed on file, as seconded by Alderman De Angelis.
Motion carried.
Alderman Wieselmann presented Public Works Committee's minutes of meeting of March 16, 1965'. Alderman Wieselmann moved that Public Works
Committee's report be accepted and placed pn file, as seconded by
Alderman Weaver. Motion carried.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Resolution #26 - Horn Field, to be tabled Resolution #27 - Ext. of Time to Raze Condemned Cottages was read
by Clerk. Alderman Budish moved, as seconded by
Alderman De Angelis, that Resolution #Z7 be adopted
as read. Motion carried.
Resolution #26 - Amended Zoning Map has been withdrawn.
COMMUNICATIONS FROM MAYOR
Mayor Gottfried reviewed the plaMed April 21st meeting concerning
,United Fund Agency, correspondence directed to Public Service
Commission concerning Linne Lac Dam, correspondence received from
Attorney Cutler and agreement concerning New Berlin annexation
suit was read by Clerk and reviewed by Mayor.
At 0:25 P.M., Alderman Wolf moved the Council recess for fifteen
minutes so that they might consider annexation agreement, motion
seconded by Alderman Bostater. Motion carried.
Council meeting was reconvened at 8:3S P.M.
Alderman Wolf moved that the Common Council of the City of Muskego
authorize the Mayor and Clerk to enter into said agreement with the City of New Berlin i.e. annexation suit, as recommended by Attorney
Cutler, motion seconded by Alderman Budish. Motion carried.
Mayor Gottfried also reviewed the forthcoming bids to be submitted for the Nike Sites, same to be considered within an Exec. Session.
NEW BUSINESS
Alderman Wolf moved, as seconded by Alderman Bostater, that vouchers
be approved as of March 22, 1965, in the amount of $6,477.41. Upon
roll call, motion carried unanimously.
Alderman I&&moved, as seconded by Alderman Wieselmann, that
licenses be granted to George Jacobs and Esther Paul subject to
fingerprint report and submittal of doctor's certificate. Motion
carried.
Resolution #29 was read by the Clerk, i.e. Highway Dept. Employees, same to be referred to Finance Comm.
Resolution #30, honoring retiring Clerk Margaret Williams, was read
by Alderman De Angelis. Alderman De Angelis moved to suspend the
rules that interfere with adoption of Resolution #30, seconded by
Alderman Weaver. Motion carried. Alderman DeAngelis moved, as se- conded by Alderman Budish, that Resolution #30 be adopted. Motion
carried.
Resolution #31, i.e., State Retirement Fund, was read by the
Clerk and referred to-Public Safety Committee.
Resolution #32, Nike Site Acquisition, was read by Clerk. Alderman
Wolf moved to suspend the rules that interfere with the adoption
of said resolution, motion seconded by Alderman Wieselmann. Motion
carried. Alderman Wolf moved that the Council adopt Resolution #32,
motion seconded by Alderman Budish.
Alderman Weaver moved that Resolution #32 be amended to read -
6th paragraph, 45.83 acres (in whole or in part) (Parcel I and
Parcel 21, as seconded by Alderman Wolf./Motion carried unanimously
upon roll call. Amended~
Resolution #33, City Clerk Appointment, was read by the Clerk, Alderman Budish moved to suspend the rules that interfere with
adoption of said resolution, motpon seconded by Alderman Hudziak.
Motion carried. Alderman Budish moved, as seconded by Alderman
Hudziak, that Resolution #33 be adopted, Motion carried unanimously
upon roll call.
Resolution #34, Park &-Rec. Board Appointment was read by the
Clerk. Alderman Weaver moved, as seconded by Alderman Budish,
to suspend the rules that interfere with adoption of said Resolution.
Motion carried. Alderman Weaver moved to appoint Milan Miller to the
Park &Rec. Board, term to expire 1967. Motion seconded by Alderman Bostater and motion carried unanimously upon roll call.
The Clerk read Resolution #35, Authorizing Public Works Comm. to prepare specs and advertise bids for a truck. Alderman Weaver moved to suspend the rules that interfere with adoption of said
resolution, motion seconded by Alderman Wieselmann. Motion carried. Alderman Weaver moved that Resolution #35 be adopted by the Council, motion seconded by Alderman Wieselmann. Motion carried.
REPORT OF CITY OFFICIALS
Clerk Margaret Williams relayed her appreciation and thanks to the
COUnCil for association and thoughtfulness afforded to her during
office.
Attorney Hippenmeyer reviewed Mr., Glarence Patton's problem on Tennyson Lane regarding road location, etc., and means of correcting
same. Alderman Weaver moved that Attorney Hippenmeyer prepare a petition showing the correction of the above road, motion seconded by
Alderman Wieselmann. Motion carried.
COMMUNICATIONS & MISC. .BUSINESS
Correspondence received from Mr. Jack Refling, Principal of Muskego
High School, and State Hiway Comm. of Wis., were placed on file.
Alderman Budish announced that an "Appreciation Party" will be held for Margaret Williams, Clerk, 8 P.M. Alderman Budish moved, on March 29, 1965, at the Aud-Mar, as seconded by Alderman Hudziak, that Margaret Williams be directed to attend. Motion carried unanimously.

Alderman De Angelis asked the Council to request Alderman Weaver,
Co. Board Supervisor, to act as Liason Officer and Alderman Weaver stated that he would be most happy to.
l Alderman Wolf moved to adjourn at 9:30 P.M. for the purpose of going into executive session for the purpose of considering and
determining a bid for the Nike Sites,
