COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE – CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved 8/16/12
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY JUNE 26, 2012
Mayor Chiaverotti called the meeting to order at 7:15 p m.
ROLL CALL
Mayor Kathy Chiaverotti, Aldermen Wolfe (arrived at 7:18), Harenda, Borgman,
Soltysiak, Schaumberg and Madden. Community Development Director Jeff Muenkel
and Deputy Clerk Jill Blenski were also present.
STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE
The Deputy stated that the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting
Law.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Ald. Madden moved to approve the June 12, 2012 minutes, Ald. Borgman seconded;
motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
Review of Wayfinding Signage. Community Development Director Muenkel
presented a sample sign that he had prepared for the committee implementing the
th
change from triangles to arrows that was requested at the June 12 Committee of the
Whole meeting. Ald. Madden motioned to approve the arrows requesting that they be
smaller and to keep them all the same size. Ald. Schaumberg seconded; motion carried.
Mayor discussed a petition that Time Warner Cable filed with the FCC stating that AT&T
is a legitimate competitor of theirs. So therefore the FCC should not regulate their
prices. She had discussed this with Attorney Molter and is presenting this to Council for
informational purposes only. If there is an interest to research or litigate this matter the
costs would be substantial. Being there is no interest, the document will be filed.
ADJOURNMENT
Ald. Harenda moved to adjourn at 7:20 pm, seconded by Ald. Soltysiak, motion carried
unanimously.
