COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE – CITY OF MUSKEGO (Unapproved)
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY JUNE 12, 2012
Mayor Chiaverotti called the meeting to order at 6:57 p m.
ROLL CALL
Mayor Kathy Chiaverotti, Aldermen Wolfe, Harenda, Borgman, Soltysiak, Schaumberg
and Madden and Deputy Clerk Jill Blenski.
STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE
The Deputy stated that the meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting
Law.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Ald. Harenda moved to approve the May 22, 2012 minutes, Ald. Borgman seconded;
motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
Review of Wayfinding Signage. Mayor Chiaverotti gave an overview of the revised
signage and memo that Community Development Director Muenkel had prepared for
the committee implementing that changes that were suggested at the May 22
Committee of the Whole meeting.
Discussion followed on whether using arrows instead of triangles worked best. Several
of the members thought the signs had too many items listed. They felt it was too busy
and should be limited to five items at most. They also questioned the font size and the
shading/shadowing of the letters.
The consensus was that Director Muenkel would prepare a full size sample of sign
Option #4 (page 18) using arrows for the next COW meeting.
ADJOURNMENT
Ald. Harenda moved to adjourn at 7:16 pm, seconded by Ald. Madden, motion carried
unanimously.
