COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE – CITY OF MUSKEGO Approved (4-10-2012)
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 28, 2012
Mayor Chiaverotti called the meeting to order at 6:30 p m.
ROLL CALL
Mayor Kathy Chiaverotti, Aldermen Snead, Harenda, Borgman, Werner, Soltysiak and
Fiedler. Also present were Finance Director Sharon Mueller, Public Works
Director/Engineer David Simpson, and Jayne Jenks, representative of Waukesha County
Parks and Land Use Department and Deputy Clerk Jill Blenski. Alderman Schaumberg
was absent.
STATEMENT OF PUBLIC NOTICE
The meeting was noticed in accordance with the Open Meeting Law.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Ald. Harenda moved to approve the January 10, 2012 minutes, Ald. Borgman seconded;
motion carried.
NEW BUSINESS
1. Waukesha County Storm Water Education Program - Jayne Jenks representative
from Waukesha County Parks and Land Use Department gave a brief presentation
on the Waukesha County Storm Water Education Program.
2. Process of filling vacancy on Council - Mayor Chiaverotti stated that she had
received a letter of resignation from Ald. Fiedler announcing that he will resign at
the end of March due to work and family commitments. Finance & Administration
Director Mueller reviewed the process to fill the District 7 Aldermanic seat.
Applications are to be received by March 22 with interviews taking place on Tuesday
March 27.

A deadline of March 9 was established for the aldermen to submit additional
interview questions to ask each candidate. Director Mueller will distribute the final
list and if any alderperson has an issue, then the matter will be placed on the March
th
13 COW agenda.

Ald. Snead moved to adjourn at 6:45 p.m. Seconded by Ald. Fiedler; motion carried.
