BOARD OF REVIEW
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 28, 2008
Chairman Lynda Guhr called the meeting to order at 5:08 pm. Board of Review
members present: Henry Posbrig, Dean Bartosh, Lynda Guhr, Steve Roncke, and
Thomas Ralston. City Assessor Laura Mecha, Assessor Mark Link from Tyler
Technologies, Attorney Eric Larson, and Clerk-Treasurer Janice Moyer were also
present.
The Clerk-Treasurer stated that the agenda for the meeting was noticed in accordance
with the Open Meeting Law on May 27, 2008.
The following property owners had properly filed a Notice of Intent to File Objection and
Objection Form for Real Property Assessment. The Board of Review heard their
objections.

Blue Heron Lane, 2212083, had requested hearings but were not present for their
appointments with the Board of Review. Their cases were not heard.
Ellis: Henry Posbrig moved to sustain the Assessor’s valuation and to adopt the
Findings of Fact, Determination and Decision. Dean Bartosh seconded; motion carried
5-0.
Haack: Dean Bartosh moved that the Assessor’s valuation is incorrect and to set the
assessment at Land: $435,000 Improvements: $389,300 for a total of $824,300 and to
adopt the Findings of Fact, Determination and Decision. Henry Posbrig seconded;
motion carried 5-0.
Gokey: Thomas Ralston moved to sustain the Assessor’s valuation and to adopt the
Findings of Fact, Determination and Decision. Dean Bartosh seconded; motion carried
5-0.
Ottesen: Thomas Ralston moved to sustain the Assessor’s valuation and to adopt the
Findings of Fact, Determination and Decision. Henry Posbrig seconded; motion carried
5-0.
LeClaire: Thomas Ralston moved to sustain the Assessor’s valuation and to adopt the
Findings of Fact, Determination and Decision. Steve Roncke seconded; motion carried
5-0.

Sarnowski: Dean Bartosh moved to sustain the Assessor’s valuation and to adopt the
Findings of Fact, Determination and Decision. Henry Posbrig seconded; motion carried
4-1 with Steve Roncke voting no.
The Notice of Board of Review Determination forms for the above objections will be
mailed by certified mail.
Henry Posbrig moved to adjourn to Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 5:00 pm. Steve Roncke
seconded; motion carried. The May 28, 2008 session of the Board of Review adjourned
at 9:45 pm.
