BOARD OF REVIEW
MINUTES OF MEETING HELD MAY 14, 2007
Clerk-Treasurer Janice Moyer called the Board of Review meeting to order at 5:00 PM. Board of Review members present: Raymond Ingold, Henry Posbrig, Dean Bartosh, Steven Roncke, Dawn
Schiel. City Assessor Laura Mecha and Attorney Eric Larson were also present.
The Clerk-Treasurer stated that the Board of Review Notice was posted on April 19, 2007, and published on April 26, 2007. The agenda for this meeting was noticed on May 10, 2007.
The Clerk-Treasurer requested nominations for Chairman. Dawn Schiel moved to nominate Steven Roncke as Chairman. Henry Posbrig seconded. There were no other nominations; motion carried.
The Clerk-Treasurer requested nominations for Vice Chairman. Dawn Schiel moved to nominate Dean Bartosh as Vice Chairman. Raymond Ingold seconded. There were no other nominations;
motion carried. Steven Roncke was elected Chairman and Dean Bartosh Vice Chairman.
The Clerk-Treasurer stated that the Department of Revenue had been notified on May 10, 2007, that the requirement for training had been met by Henry Posbrig, Lynda Guhr, Dean Bartosh,
Dawn Schiel, and Thomas Ralston.
Steven Roncke assumed the Chair. Attorney Eric Larson reviewed procedures with the members.
The assessment roll and sworn statement from the Clerk were received by the Board.
Assessor Laura Mecha noted the following for the 2007 assessment year:
Total value $2,381,834,850, 2.83% increase from 2006.
New construction was $68,968,100, a decrease of 14.6% from 2006.
The estimated 2007 ratio is 91.5%.
The City will be revaluating properties in 2008.
The Clerk-Treasurer stated that there were no Notice of Intent to File Objection and Objection Form for Real Property Assessment forms filed.
At this time the Board proceeded to review the assessment roll in accordance with its statutory duties. Attorney Larson was dismissed but said he would be available by phone if needed.
At 7:01 PM, the Board went back on the record. Henry Posbrig moved that the 2007 Board of Review and the 2007 assessment roll as presented by the assessor and having performed all of
the statutory duties and completed all of the work that had come before the Board of Review, that the Board of Review does hereby adjourn sine die, subject to the clerk fulfilling
the clerkâs statutory duties. Raymond Ingold seconded the motion; motion carried.
