pfcm20110409City of Muskego Police & Fire Commission Meeting April 9, 2011 A special meeting of the Muskego Police & Fire Commission was held on Saturday, April 9, 2011 in the conference room of the City of Muskego Police Department. Commissioner Gleason called the meeting to order at 7:30AM. Pledge of Allegiance Roll call was taken with Commissioners Gleason, Treba, Mooney, Kuwitzky, and Sindic present. The Statement of Public Notice was given to the press and posted on Monday, March 30, 2011. The amended agenda was given to the press and posted on Monday, April 4, 2011. REPORT FROM THE POLICE DEPARTMENT Chief Geiszler advised the commission of two officers that are presently on light duty. Also, he advised that next Tuesday, April 12, 2011, he will be going to the common council with a resolution to implement a primary wireless public safety answering point in the City of Muskego. This would aid the department when receiving wireless calls to calculate and map the caller’s actual location. Commissioner Kuwitzky made a motion to move in closed session pursuant to State Statutes, Section 19.85 (1) ( c): Considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility for the specific purpose of considering employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data, more specifically to conduct oral interviews for the position of police officer. Commissioner Mooney seconded and motion carried unanimously. The Muskego Police & Fire Commission reconvened into Open Session for the purpose of making a recommendation to Chief Geiszler on candidates eligible to continue in the hiring process. Commissioner Mooney made a motion to accept the recommendation and Commissioner Kuwitzky seconded with the motion carrying 5-0. Commissioner Kuwitzky made a motion to adjourn and Commissioner Mooney seconded with motion carrying unanimously. The meeting was adjourn at 3:00PM.
