PFC071912minutes City of Muskego Police & Fire Commission July 19, 2012 The regular meeting of the Muskego Police & Fire Commission was held on Thursday, July 19, 2012, in the conference room of the City of Muskego Police Department. Commissioner Gleason called the meeting to order at 7:00PM. Pledge of Allegiance Roll call was taken with Commissioners Gleason, Kuwitzky, Mooney, and Treba present. Statement of Public Notice was given to the press and posted on Friday, July 13, 2012. Commissioner Mooney made a motion to approve the agenda items and Commissioner Kuwitzky seconded and motion carried unanimously. th Commissioner Kuwitzky made a motion to accept the minutes from the April 19 meeting. Commissioner Treba th seconded, motion carried. Commissioner Mooney made a motion to accept the minutes from the May 12 meeting and Commissioner Kuwitzky seconded and motion carried unanimously. REPORT FROM THE POLICE DEPARTMENT:  Kevin Raiche was hired and is doing very well with field training. The second candidate withdrew his application. The third candidate was not hired. Doing a background on the fourth candidate.  Once the last officer position is filled, the CRO position will be filled from within the department.  One clerk position was filled and doing background for the second position. th,  The department had a SWAT call out on July 4 which ended peacefully. th  July 7 the department investigated a vehicle vs. bike accident in which the bicyclist was killed.  Reference the department attempting to obtain the approval to handle our own 9-1-1 calls, the city attorney is amending an ordnance which would allow the department to handle these calls thereby cutting down on the response time to residents. th  August 9 is the annual National Night Out event. OLD BUSINESS:  The commission perused the revised questions for the officer oral interviews with a few amendments. Commissioner Mooney made a motion to accept the questions as amended and Commissioner Kuwitzky seconded with the motion carrying unanimously. NEW BUSINESS:  Election of officers was postponed until the October meeting. COMMUNICATIONS AND OTHER MATTERS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW: Nothing The next regular meeting will be held on Thursday, October 18, 2012. Commissioner Mooney made a motion to adjourn and Commissioner Kuwitzky seconded. Motion carried unanimously and meeting was adjourned at 7:50M.
