The meeting of the Muskego Police & Fire Commission was held on Thursday, October
21, 2010 in the conference room of the City of Muskego Police Department.
Commissioner Gleason called the meeting to order at 7:00PM.
Pledge of Allegiance
Roll call was taken with Commissioners Gleason, Treba, Sindic, Kuwitzky and Mooney
present.
Statement of Public Notice was given to the press and posted on October 14, 2010.
Commissioner Kuwitzky made a motion to approve the agenda items and Commissioner
Mooney seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
Commissioner Kuwitzky made a motion to move into closed session pursuant to State
Statute 19.85 (1) ( c): Considering employment, promotion, compensation, or
performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body
has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility for the specific purpose of considering
employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data, more
specifically to discuss an officer’s discipline.
The City of Muskego Police & Fire Commission reconvened into Open Session to
continue the remaining agenda items after Commissioner Mooney made a motion to
reconvene. Commissioner Sindic seconded and motion carried unanimously.
Commissioner Mooney made a motion to approve the July 15, 2010 meeting minutes.
Commissioner Treba seconded and motion carried unanimously.
REPORT FROM THE POLICE DEPARTMENT:
Chief Gieszler discussed the 2011 budget and the capital budget that includes
monies for squad cameras, a ballistic shield, and body armor for the SWAT team.
He mentioned the position of Community Resource Officer may be reinstated but
not until May 1, 2011.
Chief Geiszler stated Sgt. John Mesich is on light duty due to a re-injury of his
shoulder.
Officer Johannik and Sgt. Dornbach are out on maternity leave.

NEW BUSINESS:
Mr. William Tucker presented a concern to the commission reference the city’s
traffic enforcement procedures. Chief Gieszler discussed our policies and
explained to Mr. Tucker the situation.

The next meeting of the City of Muskego Police & Fire Commission will be held on
Thursday, January 20, 2011 at 7:00PM.
Commissioner Sindic made a motion for adjournment with Commissioner Treba
seconded. Motion carried unanimously and the meeting was adjourned at 8:04PM.
