City of Muskego Police & Fire Commission Meeting
April 15, 2010
The meeting of the Muskego Police & Fire Commission was held on Thursday, April 15,
2010 in the conference room of the City of Muskego Police Department. Commissioner
Gleason called the meeting to order at 7:00PM.
Pledge of Allegiance
Roll call was taken with Commissioners Gleason, Treba, Sindic, Kuwitzky, and Mooney
present.
Statement of Public Notice was given to the press and posted on Saturday, April 10,
2010. Commissioner Kuwitzky made a motion to approve the agenda items and
Commissioner Sindic seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
Commissioner Mooney made a motion to accept the minutes of the October 22, 2009
meeting. Commissioner Kuwitzky seconded and motion carried unanimously.
REPORT FROM THE POLICE DEPARTMENT:
Commissioners are invited to the Explorer Competition which will be involving
approximately 15 Explorer groups. The competition will be held on Saturday,
April 24, 2010 at Bay Lane Middle School.
Chief Geiszler announced our first awards ceremony, which will be held on May
13, 2010 at 7:00PM. The ceremony will be held in the Muskego Room at
Muskego City Hall.
The department lost the Community Resource officer position due to budget cuts.
Officers Gary Mrotek and Gary Leon are sharing the responsibilities of this
position on a part time basis.
At the April 27, 2010 Common Council meeting the department will be
introducing a new web page. The web site will carry city maps showing crimes
and situations occurring in Muskego. The maps will also show the areas of the
city that you cannot carry a gun or where sex offenders are not allowed.
Chief Geiszler explained a situation that occurred on April 5, 2010 that started as
a domestic dispute and ended with a male being arrested for aggravated assault
against a police officer. During the incident shots were fired by an officer with no
injuries occurring. The officer was put on administrative leave and since then is
back to work.

COMMUNICATIONS AND OTHER MATTERS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW:
A guest spoke about complaints he has against the police department that entails officers
committing crimes against him, and residents following him around. The subject was
advised how to handle these complaints.
Commissioner Gleason announced that he would be a commissioner for another five-year
term.
The next meeting of the Muskego Police & Fire Commission will be held on Thursday,
July 15, 2010 beginning at 7:00PM.
Commissioner Mooney made a motion for adjournment with Commissioner Sindic
seconding. Motion carried unanimously and the meeting was adjourned at 7:24PM.
