City of Muskego Police & Fire Commission Meeting
December 26, 2007
The special meeting of the City of Muskego Police & Fire Commission was held on
Wednesday, December 26, 2007 in the conference room of the City of Muskego Police
Department. Commissioner Gleason called the meeting to order at 7:00PM.
Pledge of Allegiance
Roll call was taken with Commissioners Ed Gleason, Brenda Treba, Michael Kuwitzky,
and John Mooney present.
Statement of Public Notice was given to the press and posted on Wednesday, December
19, 2007.
Commissioner Kuwitzky made a motion to move into closed session pursuant to State
Statute, Section 19.85 (1) ( c): Considering employment, promotion, compensation, or
performance evaluation data of a public employee over which the governmental body has
jurisdiction or exercises responsibility for the specific purpose of considering
employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data, more
specifically to confirm the promotions of two officers to the rank of Sergeant.
Commissioner Mooney seconded with motion carrying 4-0.
The Muskego Police & Fire Commission reconvened into open session for the purpose
confirming the promotions of Officers James Rozeski and Peter Lynkiewicz to the rank
of Sergeant. Commissioner Mooney made a motion to confirm the promotions and
Commissioner Kuwitzky seconded. Motion carried 4-0.
Administrative Assistant Ann Wissing discussed the time-table for the current hiring
process for the position of police officer and to establish an eligibility list. The physical
fitness testing will be conducted on January 12th and the state written exam will be held
on February 9th. By early March the Commissioners should be able to conduct oral
interviews.
Commissioner Treba made a motion to adjourn and Commissioner Kuwitzky seconded
with motion carrying. Meeting adjourned at 7:32PM.
