City of Muskego Police and Fire Commission Meeting
September 22, 2006
A special meeting of the Muskego Police & Fire Commission was held on Friday,
September 22,2006 in the conference room of the City of Muskego Police Department.
Commissioner Rammer called the meeting to order at 3 :OOPM.
Pledge of Allegiance
Roll call was taken with Commissioners Rammer, Treba, Lehman, Gleason, and Sindic
present.
Statement of Public Notice was given to the press and posted on Monday, September 18,
2006. Commissioner Lehman made a motion to approve the agenda items and
Commissioner Treba seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
Discussion followed on the appointment of an Open Records Custodian. Commissioner
Gleason made a motion of having the Recording Secretary of the Commission be the
open records custodian. Commissioner Sindic seconded and motion carried
unanimously.
Chief Johnson thanked all past and present commissioners on a great job they have done.
Chief mentioned it is an excellent group, and they have always done what is best for the
community.

Commissioner Lehman made a motion to move into closed session pursuant to State
Statutes, Section 19.85 (1): Considering employment, promotion, compensation, or
performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body
has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility for the specific purpose of considering
employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data, more
specifically to discuss the filling of the Chief of Police's position. Commissioner Sindic
seconded. By a roll call vote, motion carried 5-0.
The Police & Fire Commission reconvened into Open Session for the purpose of
discussing the process and procedure for filling the vacant Chiefs position.
Commissioner Lehman made a motion to reconvene into Open Session and
Commissioner Gleason seconded with the motion carrying 5-0.
The information on the selection of Chief of Police will be disseminated September 26,
2006 with applications due by October 10th. During the regular meeting of the
Commission on October 19, 2006 the candidates will be interviewed.
Commissioner Lehman made a motion to adjourn and Commissioner Treba seconded
with the motion carrying unanimously 5-0. Meeting adjourned at 4:49PM
