City of Muskego Police & Fire Commission Meeting
September 7, 2006
A special meeting of the Muskego Police & Fire Commission was held on Thursday,
September 7, 2006, in the conference room of the City of Muskego Police Department.
Commissioner Rammer called the meeting to order at 4:30PM.
Pledge of Allegiance
Roll call was taken with Commissioners Rammer, Treba, Lehman, Sindic, and Gleason
present.
The Statement of Public Notice was given to the press and posted on Wednesday, August
30, 2006. The amended agenda was given to the press and posted on Tuesday,
September 5, 2006. Commissioner Lehman made a motion to approve the agenda items
and Commissioner Gleason seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
Commissioner Sindic made a motion to accept Chief John Johnson's letter of retirement.
Commissioner Gleason seconded and motion carried unanimously.
. Commissioner Lehman made a motion to move into closed session pursuant to State
Statutes, Section 19.85 (1) (c): Considering employment, promotion, compensation, or
performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body
has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility for the specific purpose of considering
employment, promotion, compensation, or performance evaluation data, more
specifically to conduct oral interviews for the position of Police Officer, and to discuss
the position of Chief of Police. Commissioner Sindic seconded with motion carrying 5-0.
The Police & Fire Commission reconvened into Open Session for the purpose of making
a recommendation to Chief Johnson on candidates eligible to continue in the hiring
process. Commissioner Gleason made a motion to accept recommendation and
Commissioner Treba seconded with motion carrying 5-0.
Commissioner Treba made a motion to adjourn and Commissioner Gleason seconded
with motion carrying. Meeting adjourned at 6:40PM.
