July 20, 2006
The meeting of the Muskego Police & Fire Commission was held on Thursday, July 20,
2006 in the conference room of the City of Muskego Police Department. Commissioner
Rammer called the meeting to order at 3:00PM.
Pledge of Allegiance
Roll call was taken with Commissioners Rammer, Treba, Lehman, and Sindic present.
Commissioner Gleason was excused.
Statement of Public Notice was given to the press and posted on Thursday, July 13, 2006.
Commissioner Lehman made a motion to approve the agenda items and Commissioner
Sindic seconded and motion carried unanimously.
Commissioner Treba made a motion to accept the minutes of the April 20, 2006 meeting.
Commissioner Sindic seconded and motion carried unanimously.

REPORT FROM THE POLICE DEPARTMENT:
. A sergeant and officer are on medical leave with the officer expected back to full
duty and the sergeant back on light duty soon.
. A sergeant has received duty disability due to an accident he was involved in.
. Nothing new has occurred on the 1979 homicide case. Waiting for DNA to be
obtained from the skeleton and family members for comparison.
OLD BUSINESS:
. Status of Hiring Process - out of 96 applicants the Department obtained one
officer. We still need an additional two officers to meet our authorized strength.
. Second Reading of Commission Policies - the new policy on a probationary
period for promotions, and an amendment to the election of officers with the
election now taking place at the July meeting as compared to the April meeting.
Commissioner Lehman made a motion to accept the policies and Commissioner
Sindic seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
NEW BUSINESS:
. Approval of Promotion of Officer Kaebisch to Sergeant - Commissioner Sindic
made the motion for approval and Commissioner Treba seconded. Motion carried
3-1 with Commissioner Lehman opposed.
. Establishment of Eligibility List - Chief Johnson requested approval of supplying
applications to the current WCTC recruit class members. The Department needs
to fill two additional positions. Commissioner Lehman made a motion to accept
and Commissioner Sindic seconded. Motion carried unanimously.

. Promotion of Civilian to Sworn Officer - Chief Johnson sought approval of
having a civilian clerk apply for one of the police officer positions. She would be
required to go through the physical fitness testing and the oral interview with the
other candidates. Commissioner Sindic made a motion to accept. Commissioner
Treba seconded and motion carried unanimously.
. Election of Officers - Commissioner Lehman made a motion of Commissioner
Rammer for the position of President. Commissioner Sindic seconded and motion
carried unanimously. Commissioner Treba made a motion of Commissioner
Lehman as Vice-President/Secretary. Commissioner seconded and motion carried
unanimously.
COMMUNICATION AND OTHER MATTERS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW:
Nothing
The next meeting will be held on Thursday, October 19,2006.
Commissioner Lehman moved for the meeting to be adjourned. Commissioner Sindic
seconded, motion carried unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 3:40PM.
