City of Muskego Police & Fif(~ Commission Meeting
April 21, 2005
A meeting of the City of Muskego Police & Fire Commission was held on Thursday, April
21,2005, in the conference room of the City of Muskego Police Department. President
Kuwitzky called the meeting to order at 7:30PM.
Pledge of Allegiance
Roll call taken with Commissioners Michael Kuwitzky, Robert Rammer, Lewis Lehman,
Blenda Treba, and Terry Sindic present.
Statement of Public Notice was given to the press and posted on Monday, April 18, 2005.
Commissioner Rammer made a motion to approve the agenda items with Commissioner
Sindic seconding. Motion carried unanimously.
Commissioner Rammer made a motion to approve the minutes of the January 20th,
February 1 ih, March 16th, and April 11 th
meetings. Commissioner Sindic seconded and
motion carried unanimously.
REPORT FROM THE POLICE DEPARTMENT:
. The Department has investigated two serious crimes recently that required the use
of a large amount of manpower.
. Chief briefly discussed the tentative talks between our Department and New Berlin
PD reference dispatch consolidation.
. An update was given on the police school liaison program. Data was gathered for
the years 1992 to 2003 showing juvenile crime was down 51 %.
. The six new officers are in various phases of training. Jeff Monreal is being
shadowed and will be on his own shortly. Erin Heusdens is field training and Steve
Westphal, Melissa Werner, and Justin Handrow will be graduating from recruit
training April 28th and will be starting field training along with the last officer to be
hired, William Jones, who starts April 25th.
OLD BUSINESS:

NEW BUSINESS:
. The Department went through the eligibility list with the new six officers and it
was decided to wait to establish a new list until the need arises.
COMMUNICA nONS AND OTHER MATTERS AS AUTHORIZED BY LAW:
Possible dates for the continuation of a disciplinary hearing were discussed and
availability of the commissioners was established.

The next meeting of the Muskego Police & Fire Commission will be held on Thursday,
July 21,2005.
Commissioner Lehman moved the meeting be adjourned. Commissioner Treba seconded
and motion carried unanimously. The meeting was adjourned at 8:00PM.
