The regular quarterly meeting of the Police and Fire Commission of
conference room of the Muskego Police Department. The meeting was
the City of Muskego was held on Thursday, April 21, 1993, in the
called to order at 7:32PM by President Kreuser. Present were
Commissioners Robert Kreuser, James Haag, Richard Horn, William
Martin and Blenda Treba; and Chief Johnson.
Com. Horn made a motion that the agenda be approved as written.
Seconded by Com. Haag. Motion carried unanimously.
Com. Haag moved that the minutes of the January 21, 1993 meeting be
approved as published. Seconded by Com. Treba. Motion carried
unanimously.
Chief Johnson reported the following:
1. Carol Stillwell received a commendation from the Common Council
for her 25 years of service with the Police Department.
2. A very favorable evaluation of the School Liaison Program was
done by City and School officials.
3. The D.A.R.E. program will continue in the schools during the
93-94 school year as it has also been received very well by the
entire community.
4. The Police Bill of Rights has not been passed by the State
Legislature. The Wisconsin Police Chiefs' Association does not
approve of the discipline area in this bill. Our o'fficers can
not grieve discipline per their contract.
A discussion was held on the following:
Enforcing legal bicycle riding and having bicycle programs in
the schools to teach the laws for same.
Installation of turn signals at Janesville and Tess Corners
Drive; improvements to the intersection at Janesville and
Durham; and turn signals requested at Janesville and Lannon.
OLD BUSINESS: It was decided to maintain the present eligibility
list and establish a new one possibly in the fall.

Corn. Martin moved that the rules be suspended and a unanimous ballot
be cast for Corn. Kreuser for President and Corn. Horn for Vice
President/Secretary. Seconded by Corn. Haag. Carried unanimously.
Corn. Haag moved to recognize and express the Commission's
appreciation to Carol Stillwell for her 25 years of dedicated
service as a member of the Police Department. Seconded by Corn.
Horn. Carried unanimously.
There were no communications.
Corn. Martin moved to adjourn the meeting to Thursday, July 22, 1993,
at 7:30PM. Seconded by Corn. Horn. Meeting adjourned at 8:04PM.

The meeting scheduled for July 22, 1993 was cancelled due to several
members having conflicts and there was no pertinent business to
handle. Meeting was set for October 21 but was re-scheduled for
October 14.
