The regular quarterly meeting of the Police and Fire Commission of
conference room of the Muskego Police Department. The meeting was
the City of Muskego was held on Thursday, 0- in the

Commissioners Robert Kreuser, Richard Horn, Blenda Treba and William
Martin; and Chief Johnson. Commissioner Haag was absent.
Commissioner Treba requested that the agenda be amended to include a
discussion on the Department Rules, Regulations and Discipline.
Seconded by Commissioner Horn. Motion carried unanimously.
Commissioner Horn moved that the minutes of the July 9, 1992 meeting
be approved as published. Seconded by Commissioner Treba. Motion
carried unanimously.
Chief Johnson reported the following:
1. He explained the 1993 Budget which the City Council is in the
process of approving. If salaries and fringe benefits are
excluded, as they are contractual and not under his juris-
diction, the 1993 Budget shows an increase of approximately 1%
over the 1992 Budget.
2. The D.A.R.E. program will begin, in the schools during the
second semester at which time we will receive the Grant money.

OLD BUSINESS: None.
NEW BUSINESS: Commissioner Horn made a motion to approve the hiring
of Craig Simuncak as the new police officer. Seconded by Commis-
sioner Martin. Motion carried unanimously.
It was decided to discuss the establishment of a new eligibility
list at a later date with the testing procedure possibly commencing
in late summer or early fall.
Commissioner Treba questioned the penalties and reckoning periods
for violations of the Department Rules and Regulations. Chief
Johnson stated that the Department Rules, Regulations and Penalties
are in the process of being revised. Updates on these will be
distributed to the Commissioners so they can be discussed at the
January meeting.

Commissioner Treba moved that the meeting be adjourned to January
21, 1993. Seconded by Commissioner Martin. Motion carried. The
meeting adjourned at 9:12PM.
