pfcm19920409POLICE AND FIFE CCWIISSION OF THE CITY OF MUSKEG0 The regular quarterly meeting of the Police and Fire Comnission of the City Muskego Police Department. The meeting was called to order at 7:31PM by of Muskego was held on Thursday, April 9. 1992, in the conference rm of the James Haag, William Martin and Blenda Tr&; and Chief Johnson. President Kreuser. Present were comnissioners Robert Kreuser, Richard Horn, President Kreuser requested that the agenda be modified after the police report Motion made by Horn to modify the agenda. Seconded by Treh. Carried to include his report fran a Governor's Conference on gangs that he attended. lx-minmusly. Haag moved that the minutes of the January 9, 1992 meeting be approved as published. Seconded by Horn. Motion carried unanimously. Chief Johnson reported the follming: 1. Officer Robert Kuspa was hired on March 2, 1992, and has ccmpleted his on the road training so he is nw on his own. 2. The Police Bill of Rights bill died. 3. He explained the school liaison program that is being considered by the Cmon Council and Schml Board. 4. The D.A.R.E. pilot program at Bay Lane Schcol was explained. This pilot program is conducted by a Waukesha Deputy and a Muskego police officer. This is a $ day program 3-4 days a week for 17 weeks for sixth graders. If the program is continued, it will be conducted by two Muskego officers who have received the extensive two week training. President Kreuser reported on the Governor's Conference he attended on juvenile crimes and gangs. OLD BUSINESS: It was decided to keep the meeting on the second Thursday at on the third week. The next meeting will be on Thursday, July 9, at 7:30PM. 7:30PM especially for the July meeting as some people would not be able to attend NEN BUSINESS: Election of officers: Hag naninated Kreuser as President, Seconded by Horn. Horn moved that nominations be closed. Seconded by Hag. Motion carried unanimously. Haag nominated Horn as Vice President/Secretary. Seconded by Treba. Martin moved to close nominations. Seconded by Haag. Motion carried unanimously. Haag moved that since there was no competition, the rules be suspended and the Secretary cast unanimous ballot for those officers. Seconded by Treba.
